Your cart is empty.This quick-adjust vertical surface hold down clamp allows you to secure work tightly to your workbench anywhere you can drill 3/4” dog holes. The 1-1/2” long post is just shy of 3/4”, so will slip in and out of any 3/4” dog hole. The post has machined serrations along its length so when the handle is turned and pressure applied, the post wedges tightly in a dog hole and will not slip. This clamp will only work with stock up to 3" thick. The unbreakable cast zinc base is 1-1/2” in diameter and 1-1/2” tall. The base and post are black coated to resist corrosion. The moveable clamp jaw slides easily along the serrated rail and then locks down tight when the handle is tightened offering slip-resistant clamping. The jaw is made from reinforced malleable steel and provides powerful and rigid clamping. The serrated carbon steel rail has an hourglass profile to resist flexing and twisting. The moveable jaw features smooth-turning carbon steel Acme threads. The screw end has a 1” diameter swivel pad with a non-marring pad to allow gripping of odd-shaped parts. Overall spindle travel is 2”. Threads are black coated to resist corrosion. The ergonomic soft grip Plastic/TPR handle optimizes torque and reduces hand fatigue. Jaw depth is 2-7/8”

I drilled four 3/4” holes in my workbench near the front edge. Whenever I need to work on a piece, I use the clamp to hold the work in place. Very handy!!

Other 3/4" hold down clamps i've bought from Amazon barely fit in 3/4" dog holes and have to be pushed hard to squeeze in. These fit easily, adjust quickly, are simple to screw down tight and just work right. what more can you ask for?

Finally found this bench clamp that is easy to use and holds the piece rigidly. Fantastic product, worth the price. I have returned other cheaper products similar in appearance, but lacking in functionality.

Have 4 of these for my workbench and I use them on almost every project I work on. They obviously work to hold things to the bench so I can screw or glue them but sometimes I use them as stops or hold downs for scraps or jigs. I’m have other hold downs but I like these the best. They are easy to use with one hand and have a great range. I do wish they made them with a longer reach. My dog holes are 8” apart and sometimes I need to be creative in placing the clamps. Overall I can’t imagine doing work without at least 2 of these.

Not much to say. It's easy to use, incredibly sturdy, and provides as much pressure as you would ever want from a dog hole clamp. I didn't really know what I would need for my new bench, so a bought various types of clamps and holders for my new dog hole bench. I wish I had not bought most of the other stuff and just bought a second one of these. This one is comparatively expensive, but well worth the price.

I am surprised there are not more options available for similar clamps, but these work great. Very good alternative to the traditional hold fast and these will not mar the wood. They clamp tight and will work with any standard 3/4 dog hole. This should work with shallower benches too unlike the traditional hold fast.
