Makes planing the hinge side simple. A Door Handle Jig still needed to gut Door Knob holes.

Complete waste of money. Broke within 2 hours of using it. I went to work on my 3rd door and it wouldn’t Jack up the door. Easier and more cost efficient to use the old fashioned way of putting wedge under the door

I am trying to mortise some door hinges and this works well and i do not need any help with it. Small tip, use a shim under the other end and it will be flat.

I’ve been using this tool for a few months now, and I am glad I bought it. It works exactly as advertised, securing the doors vertically, and horizontally. This tool well made, and a necessary tool if you work on doors frequently.

Overall this a good tool to have & I am happy to have it. The one problem though is the idea of just sticking on the rubber feet. Unless you are not using this on a typical jobsite condition where tools are inevitably going to get shoved around the feet may be fine. Mine pealed off on the first job from minimal sliding around. Solution was to get bumpers that actually bolt on to the frame. Much more durable.

Have wanted to build a door buck and know there's not much to them. Never could find the time to build my own so I found this metal one. Expensive but keeps door very steady when routing door hinges. A good find.

Was confused reading some of the reviews. Stepped out and made the purchase. Early stages of updates. Bathroom and replacing these old 70’s flat panels with new 6 panel. Wanted a nice solid stand to use in the garage. I opted for two horizontal Trend D/STAND/A 32-55mm Door Stand Carpentry Tools for Hinge and Door Installation , Black. Hell ya. Love the things. They are not lightweight metal. Steel and solid welds. Knobs turn easily to tighten door in place. I opted for two just for ease of use. I like level work with support on each end. Will post pics.

its a good product i used this at one side of the door and a magic door grip at the other side to hold the door . In my opinion you really need at least one support. and if you are chiseling the hinges out you need two and support at the hinge height . i got my son to push against it but you could use an external corner and use the holders.it is expensive and you do get what you pay for. The magic door gripper is cheaper and a little disappointing but it does work too and i cant make up my mind if i would have bought two trend door holders . but the trend will still be working in 10 years i really doubt the magic door holder will. but if your doing ( heavy doors ) yourself the magic door griper has the advantage of gripping the door straight away . Sorry i hope this helps .

I nearly didn't buy this due to the poor reviews but am glad that the Trend brand made me give it a try. It's as solid and functional as anything else made by Trend and has saved me loads of time when fitting mortice locks in a house full of student rooms. The door is held as solidly as required and releasing the hold is simple too.Perhaps others tried a fake product as this is 100% metal apart from the foot which is slightly flexible plastic.
