I purchased this window AC unit to use in event of long term power loss due to hurricanes, to be used in combination with a generator. Just know that it does not come ready to plug and play out of the box (some initial assembly is required). It does its job but is certainly meant for a small room. This will not cool a large living room effectively. Needs a closed space to do its job, but that is about what is advertised based on its BTU rating.

Not much to say except it's exactly what it claims to be. I have it installed in a decent sized bedroom and it works perfectly. I have no idea what the square footage is, but I can say in less than 30 minutes of operation, this AC had the room noticeably cooler (it replaced a defunct window unit that in comparison to this one I think wasn't cooling properly for a while as this one was so much colder so much faster, etc.)If you happen to have wood window sills, then everything you need is in the box (screws to secure the window to the top of the AC and to ensure the fold outs on the sides remain extended, etc.) It honestly took longer to get the only broken AC out of the window than it did to install this one lol.It doesn't have a remote, but considering the size room you're likely to install it in TO ME it doesn't matter at all. I also like that it has mechanical controls (rotating switches, etc.) rather than digital controls...this AC just seems very durable in how it's made 👍

Don’t like anything about this unit. I have a small bedroom I’m attempting to cool. Figured it was still too cool out to use it but we’ve had some 70° days and it still blows warm air even on the high cool setting. I ordered this unit since my previous unit was freezing and throwing ice chunks out, figured a brand new unit would work. Best thing this provides is noise from the fan. Literally fresh out of the box doesn’t produce any cool air. Highly unsatisfied.

This little guy saved my summer. Packs a pretty big punch for it's small size. I installed it in a narrow sliding window. If you have a hair over 16" of clearance with the operable part of the window removed, you can make this fit without the extenders installed. You will have to figure out a different way to seal the around and above it but it was worth every penny. I got it to condition one bedroom but my whole apartment feels better with it on. One tiny criticism is that the filter only slides out of the right side (as you face the unit) so installing it in the left side of a window would be better especially in a tight squeeze like I have it.
