I have a bonus room that needs a window unit to be habitable. The current window unit died unexpectedly and I needed something inexpensive and fast. I have had previous successful experiences with refurbished products so this unit seemed to be ideal. However, when I opened the box the unit was not what I would call “refurbished”. The grill was installed upside down, which broke off some of the mounting tabs. When I removed the grill the unit was full of bugs and dirt. It clearly had been used and returned, which could be expected, but shouldn’t it be made “as new” when it is refurbished?
