Simply set these stainless steel grids on the burners to provide uniform heat and eliminate hot spots, protecting glass teapots or coffee pots from breaking. By controlling the heat transferred from the range to the pan, they encourage gentle simmering to prevent beverages from scorching. They can also be used under metal pots and pans to reduce food sticking and burning, or to prevent cookware from scorching. The set includes two diffuser trivets. Each diffuser grid measures approximately 4" x 4".

Little things vs Big ThingsI thought this would be useful with a glass teapot but my oven died, and now I no longer have electric coil burners. So I am unable to evaluate the durability, heat retention, functionality, or the value for money -- other than to say two of these at this price sure appeals, and is why I purchased it. I don't think my non-review should hurt the company so I am giving it 5 stars.

These are not designed for a normal sized burner, even the small burner on the stove. As others have shared pictures, the ones I received were the same. Not able to use this item and too concerned about damage to my range that I didn't even try. They are extremely small and the wire is very thin and is easily bent.

These work great on my electric stove to protect my glass tea kettle. They fit underneath - they are meant to be small to make sure they really protect the bottom of the kettle. I'm not so sure why people in other reviews are surprised they are small. The size is clearly stated. If you need a heat diffuser for a much larger pot, there are larger ones to buy. But I like this small version. It's easy to store in a drawer when you aren't using it. Very handy to keep my kettle safe.

These are very small and the diameter of a wire hanger.from the dry cleaners. Too expensive for these.
