PREMIUM QUALITY, not to be compared with cheaper imported tapes.
High temperature tape is widey used for masking during powder coating, wave soldering, circuit board production, or holding parts in place during hot air rework or repair of electronic components.Due to it's semi-transparent shiny gold color is also has a myriad of hobby and craft uses.
Commonly used in electronics repair, it is the ideal choice for QFP or BGA rework operations. It is also well suited for use with through-hole repair operations.

by her husband. This stuff is tough. My reason to get it is "high temperature". Electrical tape gets gummy. This is like tough high-temp cellophane tape.

This kapton tape is easy to remove with no messy left over sticky stuff. I use mine with my SMD rework station to keep parts in there place. At 300-350C things get hot fast.
What's the frequency, Kenneth?

I purchased the product for a non-standard use: as an attempt to insulate an aluminum cylinder from a matching cylinder in which it rests. The outside cylinder seemed to be heating the inside cylinder, so I wondered if wrapping the inner one with this tape would help dampen the heating effect. I'm still evaluating the results, but believe it is helping. Most importantly, this tape was used in a device that heated both cylinders in excess of 350 degrees and the tape showed no ill effects. It applied easily, and CML Supply shipped it very quickly.I would recommend the product and the vendor.

Everything you could ever want from Kapton tape. High temp, doesn't leave a sticky mess, easy on the eyes, etc.
