About this item

  • 180º Flex, 9 Positions – The flex head sweeps through 180-degrees, snapping to nine different detent angles to reach around obstacles
  • 90-Tooth Gear – Our fine-tooth ratchet requires only a 4-degree swing arc
  • Ultra-Compact Head – Unlike conventional "low profile" designs that focus on controlling only the thickness of the head, we reduced the size in every dimension: height, width, and length
  • Single, Half-Moon Pawl – Maintains 9 teeth engaged with the gear at all times, ensuring that it won't slip or skip under stress
  • Sleek, Comfortable Handle – The handle's finger groove has pronounced interior edges for traction and control for any finger placement

With a 90-tooth gear that produces a working swing Arc of just 4 degrees, the TEKTON 1/4 inch drive x 6 inch flex quick-release ratchet doesn't need much room to operate. Its 180-degree flex head snaps to nine detent positions to work around obstructions. Smaller than "low profile", the head is reduced in size in every dimension—height, width, and length.

These are good rackets. Very well built, but just dont feel like my Gearwrench or Snapon. They do the job and our made of great stuff, I just dont like the feel in hand plus the head is a little to floppy! But not a cheap made tool, very good quility!

This ratchet has a great flex head with positive stops. The ratchet has a great action and works with small fasteners very well. I can't wait to use it more!

As a relatively new diesel mechanic, I ALWAYS recommend Tekton tools to anyone that can't afford tools off the tool trucks and are looking for great quality tools at a more affordable price. Close to half my tools are Tekton brand and they're all super good quality and I've never had any issues with any of them. Meanwhile my super cheap harbor freight tools break left and right! (As expected...)I've never had any of my Tekton stuff break or not work correctly, but a friend of mine has and all he had to do was send Tekton a picture of his broken tool and they mailed him a replacement for free. You don't need to buy those tool truck tools just because they'll replace them when they break! Thank you, Tekton.

I had a very tight place to get into and needed a rachet with a thin head. The Tekon dimensions are on the web site unlike others so I knew it would fit.My experience with all Tekton tools are they are a good value and will hold up. This ratchet is no exception and I am very pleased with it.Tekton is my first choice for tools now.

I needed a flex head ratchet to remove an awkward bolt on my car. I've liked my TEKTON breaker bar and box wrench set for the last several years so I ordered this ratchet from them. It worked well. In fact, it worked a little too well. The 90 tooth action was buttery smooth and made removing the bolt a cinch. Now that I know what that action can feel like, what it is supposed to feel like, I can't bring myself to go back to my old ratchets. Looks like I am going to have to get myself a full set of ratchets and a few other things from TEKTON now. You can't beat their always warranty where you snap a picture and they send a replacement, the quality is there in the tools I have handled, and the price is reasonable (looking at you tool truck brands). Tools are mostly made in the USA or Taiwan, but they don't go beating their chest about it. In my book they are doing it right. Now, how to convince my wife about getting more tools. Don't get this ratchet unless you are ready to buy more tools from TEKTON.

I have 1/4 3/8 1/2 Texton flex head quick release ratchets. Great quality as always by Tekton. Very strong and great looking with a nice feel. Priced great. I have these and the Capri flex head ratchets. Both great tools and both have their purpose and pros and cons. The Tektons are shorter and can be a pro or con, most times a flex ratchet is used in tight or awkward places then being shorter they may be more practical in most situations where needed. They also have a nice semi locking indexing feature for the flex head where the Capri do not. But the Capris are tight and do NOT flop around without this feature. The Capris are longer and provide great leverage, you know you have something in your hand with a solid heavy duty feel too, they are my go to for a everyday ratchet, but when in tight spots I do not hesitate to grab the shorter Tektons. I work mainly on bigger equipment and trucks and tractors so thats the only reason the lenght helps me often. Both Tektons and Capris are beautiful, feel great, top quality, can be tightened, hassle free life time warranty and Im glad I have both sets. I will say the 1/4 of both are almost the same lenght. Way cheaper than tool trucks and would put them up against any tool truck set.

I got this ratchet to replace a Sears Craftsman 3/8" ratchet that had "gotten away." My old Craftsman tools were all made in the USA. I consider the Craftsman tools made in China to be of low quality. For instance, this Tekton ratchet has 92 gear teeth as opposed to 72 for the Craftsman made-in-China ratchet, and it has a 4-degree working arc, which is great for right spaces. I really like the swivel head. This tool has a bright chrome finish and it looks like it will hold up forever. I used it to change the spark plugs in my car. Ratcheing is positive--you can hear the fine gears meshing as you work. A button on the ratchet head allows you to quickly detach sockets or extensions. You can tell a quality tool when you use it--and this is a quality tool. It's made in Taiwan--which makes some great stuff (like Cold Steel knives). I believe this ratchet will give good service for many years to come. I'm glad I picked this ratchet over a Craftsman!

My previous 1/4" ratchet was only 4 inches long. This 6 inch long gives me better reach and handle control. I like the flex head that notches into various grooves for semi-locking capability and makes it possible to access tight areas. I also like the flat head that allows me to place a 7/8" diameter magnet (purchased separately) on top of it so that it transfers enough magnetism to make my 1/4" sockets magnetic enough to hold screws and bolts in place long enough to secure them in place. The 90 teeth gear system make it possible to loosen or tighten bolts when limited ratchet arm swing arc area is available. The socket ball locking mechanism is strong and helps prevent a socket from accidentally falling off. I would buy again, and plan to eventually buy their 3/8" version of this ratchet.
