Where have you been all my life? If you have ever actually used a breaker bar you can immediately see the need for this.If you think you may ever need to use a breaker bar, get this and put it where you will be able to find it, like with your 1/2" impact sockets!! A Must Have!

I have put at least 155 ft/lbs to this thing and it didn't fail. It still ratchets fine. I have used the hell out of this and it has held up.Where it really excels is removing and installing lug nuts. I have a digital torque meter that I add between this and the socket and it works great.Easy to use, turn the red ring the direction you want to torque and that is it. It will sometimes switch into an in between mode (no ratcheting), but I haven't had it do this while wrenching, just after setting it down and picking it back up.

This will work like a ratchet with a turn of the red ring or like a breaker. This adapter is very useful and it turns your breaker bar into a ratchet. It is made very heavy-duty and it works great. It is very affordable and extremely useful.

This little adapter turned out to be more useful than I expected. It converted my breaker bar into a smooth ratchet, which made working in tighter spaces way easier especially for wheel lugs and suspension bolts. The ratcheting action feels solid, and I like the simple directional switch ring.I haven’t pushed it past 150 ft/lbs yet, but it's held up great so far. It’s also handy as a thumb ratchet or even paired with a wrench using the hex side. If you do a lot of automotive work, this is a smart addition that adds flexibility to your existing tools.

I got this adapter to use with my 24" 1/2 drive breaker bar when removing lug nuts torqued to 130 ft-lb on my Jeep and Nissan Titan. It works but feels a bit sloppy. The majority of this adapter is this black oxide-coated (chalkboard-like finish), which is typical of inexpensive Harbor Freight-style impact sockets.The adapter I received did not come lubricated with any grease, so I disassembled it and applied some good grease (not in photo). The operation is much smoother now and It's easy to change from tighten to loosen, but takes getting used to, you turn the selector in the direction you want the adapter to ratchet. You can also use it as a short extension, by turning the red selector to the middle position, this locks the mechanism. It feels pretty stout, and it should last, but I’ll report back if it breaks. I plan to use it every time I rotate my tires on both vehicles. Losing a star at this point only because of the finish and lack of grease.

I cannot tell you how many times I have been in a position where I had to have the leverage of a breaker bar to get that bolt loose, but the limited travel in tight spaces would not let me rotate 90 degrees to change leverage positions and the bolt was still too tight to make progress by hand. AAAAARRRGGGH!The answer to this is a breaker bar ratchet. CROM was an unknown brand to me, but I wanted to try the functionality to one of the most frustrating parts of automotive repair. Not only that, but the hex end gives you even more options using a wrench and a socket. Going even further, you can use the textured ring on this to loosen or tighten things by hand.The functionality of this was not the only positive aspect. I found the build quality and finish to be top notch. The black phosphate finish is corrosion resistant and the red finish on the ring is just plain cool. The ratchet worked great and with 24 teeth, allowed movement in very confined spaces.Overall I am very happy with this and recommend it.I hope you found my review helpful.

This is a great adapter for converting your breaker bar into a ratchet. I recently used it while doing some suspension and brake work with lots of tough and rusty bolts, and this adapter was perfect for providing the convenience of a ratchet with the oomph of a breaker bar.The backdrag is low enough, and there are enough teeth, to work in moderately tight spaces. Although, if you're working in a tight space and need a breaker bar, you have my sympathies.It feels solid and well-made, but I always break the bolt loose first and then put this on. Overall, this is a handy addition to the toolbox.
