I was worried because I bought these before I read the reviews and I have origin8 bullhorns I just installed. But one reviewer was very correct that these levers fit originate bullhorns just fine if you take off the black metal sleeve/shim (slides right off). There is still a rubber washer that holds the expanding mechanism in place. They look great. If they hold up for a year it will be worth it for the price point.

I've been looking for a v-brake lever (not a cross lever) to put on my new bullhorn handlebar but none of them are designed to fit road handlebars (23.8mm). After lots of research I stumbled upon the reverse brake lever and this one fits the bill perfectly. This was my first brake lever upgrade/install and it was surprisingly easy - the hardest part was fitting the brake hose and cable. Looks awesome and works great!

Works as expected, but the spring in the lever has a low quality, I've bought two of these, and both times, the springs have "popped" out of place, meaning the brake pad won't release unless you literally push the lever back into a resting position. So, I've resorted to shifting my brake lever from on to off, basically.Still works, but poor quality.Make sure that your handlebars are wide enough to handle the diameter, didn't fit my first bike's handlebars!! Just measure/check the diameter of these and compare to your handlebars.

Great little bar end lever. 4 not 5 because the included hardware didn't fit. The bolt had a captive washer that was too big to fit in so it would not drop in deep enough to catch the nut. Not a big deal since it's a standard M6 bolt and I had some laying around that didn't have the washers attached.Fitting a 19mm inner diameter bar was no problem for me. If you are having trouble getting it to fit, make sure you take off the slotted steel spacer tube shim thing. At least on the product photo that I see it isn't there at all. Drops right in easy, and the tri-wedges expand and hold it well. I liked the little o-ring that kept the wedges from falling off during assembly. Very helpful and not shown in the product photo.

I just put them on my bike recently and they are working well. They have a solid build, and because they are externally routed they can work on handlebars that dont have holes drilled for cables. (Which fit my purposes well)

These are not exactly as advertised. the lever looks exactly the same, the ONLY difference is the part that goes inside the bar. Instead of what is pictured, there is a small cone and some wedges that attach to the body of the lever. As you tighten the screw, it pulls the cone closer and pushes the wedges outward, holding the brake in place. This actually is an improvement upon the design pictured, because they fit better into smaller diameter bars. I made the mistake of ordering Retrospec persuit bars with an inner ID of 18mm. No problem! One hour with a dremmle and some grinding bits, and they were ground down to an outer ID of 17.5mm. They slid in perfectly, and they still work properly!Aside from not having fitting problems with these, they actually work pretty nicely. I have access to a Trek Speed concept with bontrager TT bar end levers, and they feel no different from these ones, aside from probably weighing half as much. I Would recommend (seeing as you'll be seeding to take the brake lever itself off anyway) squirting some grease into the pivot point so the lever moves more freely. It already moves very smoothly, but for the BEST braking system, every little bit helps.Instalation is brutally easy. Put the stubby bit inside the end of your bar, and tighten the screw until the brake lever body quits wiggling about. Put your brake cable into the hole, secure the housing. Next you'll need to put the brake cable end into the lever slot, then pull the cable through and let it seat properly. Adjust your brakes, and you're done. It really couldn't get much simpler. My modified ones have lasted very well over the past year, and still feel brand new. Don't hesitate to buy these!Ps: You get 2 brake levers, they will fit into any bar with an inner diameter of 19-21mm (Most bullhorns will tell you the ID, and if they don't assume it'll be too small). You don't get cables, or housings, or tape.

Great levers. I had to ream out the end of my Projekt Fixie bullhorn bars to get them to fit, I'm not sure if it was because the levers were too big or the bars were too small. Also, had to go online to get the installation instructions from the Tektro website.Other than those two little annoyances, these levers do a good job of doing what they're supposed to do m.

Finally...a cheap set of reverse brake levers that's easy to install and service!I got these to use on low-end bikes with bullhorn handle bars. I've used previous versions of Tektro reverse pull levers in the past, and while they worked great, they were a pain in the butt to service: replacing brake cable required pulling the whole thing out, often messing up the bar tape or the lever itself. These are a huge improvement. The bolt under the rubber cap makes installation into bullhorn bars a total breeze, and the cable line is easily accessible without removing the brake lever. Since I ride my bikes in rainy/snowy conditions that cause the brake cable to rust out, easy service is important to me - and this pair is awesome. The only thing that's a little weird is that they require mountain end cables.Overall, I'm very happy with this product. While they probably lack some of the features and weight specs of higher end reverse pull levers, I'd be happy putting these on all my bikes.
