This telescope cover is made of two layers of material. The outer layer is silvered, and very reflective, while the inner layer is black. Both layers are relatively thin and lightweight, but appear to be solid and waterproof. It comes with a zippered carry pouch made of the same material, and I sprayed that pouch down with water from my sink and no water go through to the inside. The rectangular bag has a zipper at each end, and elastic string through the sides of the opening that can be used to gather it around a tripod and held down. The zippers move from the "top" of the cover to the bottom. [I feel they would be more useful if they moved from the bottom to the top, so that you could stick the end of a telescope out of the side and then zip the zipper "up to" the bottom of the telescope tube. As it is, the zipper is either closed, or trapped above the top of the telescope. The 150cm bag (59inches long) would work well for a 4" refractor or to cover a 6 or 8" SCT telescope on a fork mount. The only reason it didn't quite fit my LX200 12" was that I have an astro-zap light shield that extends the optical tube by about a foot. This cover would be good for protecting your equipment from the sun (if you want to set up in the daytime and then come back out to it at night, or are doing solar observations). It would also be useful if you needed to leave your telescope for a while and were worried about a sudden rainstorm appearing. It feels a bit thin for protecting a telescope permanently mounted outside, but for short term protection I could see it bringing a lot of value to the table, especially given the low price point.

This telescope cover does a great job protecting our device. The material quality reminds me of a well-made car cover—sturdy and reliable. The drawstring closure keeps the telescope secure, even when stored for longer periods. It’s a practical and worthwhile purchase for anyone looking to protect their telescope investment.

Excellent, needed this to go along with my new "observatory" - a completely clear plastic 'tent' - so I won't have to take it down each time. This will keep an extra layer of protection to keep the wind-driven dust from sand blasting it, that'd pretty much be the end of a lens. At 20$, this is a no-brainer for me.

i don't know how effective this would be for outdoor use, but it works very well to cover my binoculars and tripod (indoors). it came in a zip storage bag. the cover has full length zippers and cinch cords with toggles on each end. it is great protection against dust and uv damage

This thing is PERFECT! It covers my SLT when stored and works great as a sort of dew shield when viewing. 10/10
