Quickly identifies opens, shorts, reversals and transposed pairs. Economical tester includes all the basic functions. Connecting the receiver unit automatically activates the test process. Sequencing red and green LEDs provide fast, accurate and simple-to-understand results. Alerts the technician if connected to an active circuit without harming the unit. Connect any eight-position modular plug to the appropriate jack on the transmitter and a sweeping tone signal is applied to all pairs. At the far end of the cable, use any Tempo inductive amplifier (probe) to locate the corresponding plug or jack. Battery operated, 9V not included.

The tester is the easiest to use on the market. It gives you accurate results at both ends. The LEDs does not start working until both sides are connected. That way you can tell if you're even on the right cable. Each end indicates the issue by the colour & brightness.

The ONLY wire tester to use! It is the only one that had indicators at both ends. That cuts the testing time in half.I took all the other testes that I have bought over the last 37 years and threw them into a box in the basement.The only thing better would be a full-blown Network AnalyzerBuy it and get rid of all your other testers!

If you do any sort of computer cabling work having one of these is essential. Simple to use, accurate, reliable and if you remember to turn if off when you are done, the battery will last a long time. I have had one of these (and its predecessor model) for over 10 years and they have served me well for both network problems and phone line problems.
