This adapter seems well-made and plugs in securely fit fit-wise, and with its latch and lock. I carry it around in my Bolt to use where needed. Overall, I have no problems with it and would recommend it.

I've got a Tesla with a home charger, some of my friends and relatives have other EV brands. This adapter allows me to charge their vehicles when they come to visit. It snaps in easily to the Tesla charging plug. The disconnect takes a little slightly more effort to disconnect, but this isn't a deal breaker for the occasional use.

I got this for use while traveling at hotels and AirBnB's with Tesla L2 EVSE's. Got a chance to use it last weekend at the beach and happy to report it worked perfectly with no errors or charging issues. Keep in mind that this is ONLY for L2 (240V/50A) charging--it DOES NOT work at Tesla Superchargers--but that's not a problem as I have a different (A2Z) adapter for that. This is nicely made and does not feel cheap. I'd highly recommend this adapter!

UPDATE 2025-06-08:To test to see if the seller truly adjusted their internal procedures to keep this from happening again, I created another Amazon account and submitted a couple of questions to them about the type of plastic used in the unit and the power wire size and whether it was copper or CCA (copper clad aluminum). Since I had opened up the unit, I knew the answer to most of this before asking, but that just allowed me to verify that they were accurate in their answers.BTW, the answers that they provided were:1,Material: The connector head is made of PA66, and the main body is made of PC9330 plastic.2,Wire Gauge: The internal power wires are 8 AWG.3,Conductor Type: The wires are made of 99.99% oxygen-free copper, and they are tinned for improved corrosion resistance. As such, I'm going to update their review score to "very above average" (4.5-stars). They recognized their problem in customer service, acknowledge it, and worked to successively fix it. I like it when things end this way because I really want my reviews to help the sellers have a better product (and their support is part of the "product").UPDATE 2025-06-05:Apparently, it takes a bad review rating to get their attention. The *say* that they "recognize the issue and have made internal adjustments to ensure that responsible customers ... are never left waiting again". Hopefully that is the case. As such, I'm going to bump this up to just "slightly below average" (2.5-stars).UPDATE 2025-05-21:After 13 days, they finally responded to my inquiry, but were not able to answer my question.ORIGINAL RATING:2.0-stars--Product seems acceptable, but poor customer serviceThe product itself seems acceptable, but I had a question about it and after 5 days, I still have not received a response from the seller / manufacturer. As such, I'm afraid that I will need to rate this a "below average" (i.e. 2.0-stars).Maybe giving them a low review will entice them to respond to the message that I sent them via the Amazon messaging system?STAR RATING SCALE5.0 Excellent product (or perhaps customer service); There is NO room for improvement whatsoever; NOTHING is perfect, so this rating *should* be EXTREMELY difficult to achieve.4.5 Very above average4.0 Above average product; Something about it sets it a bit above similar products on the market.3.5 Slightly above average3.0 Average product; Meets expectations, perfectly serviceable, but does not do anything that sets it apart from similar products; Does not have some features that makes me say, "Wow, that's a neat feature".2.5 Slightly below average2.0 Below average product; Something about it is a bit lacking; It could be conflicted specifications or errors in the original listing or that it was arrived with damage that was unlikely to have occurred during shipping and should have been caught in either the manufacturer's or seller's quality control.1.5 Very below average / slightly poor1.0 Poor product; Waste of money at ANY price; Blatant lies in the original listing.0.0 Extremely poor product; doesn't work and seller either ignores contact attempts or takes an extremely long time to respond, possibly trying to run out the window for returning a product; possible scam seller; a seller or product has to screw up *really* bad to get this score

I have a CCS (J1772) EV, but I got a great deal on a NACS L2 charger that I couldn't pass up, so I needed an adapter. This one feels well constructed and fits snugly on both the NACS and CCS sides. I've charged at 40A twice already with no issues. NO evidence of loose fitting or droop. Has a little lock on the NACS side to keep it attached. Locks into my Ioniq easily. I'll primarily use this at home and it will just stay connected to my charger full time, but on road trips I'll take it for use on Tesla destination chargers (not Super Chargers) and any other L2 chargers using NACS connectors

This adapter has been super handy. As a J1772 EV owner, I’ve always noticed how many Tesla chargers are everywhere—especially at hotels and shopping centers—but I couldn’t use them until now. With this adapter, I can plug into any Tesla destination or mobile charger (not Superchargers), and it works perfectly for Level 2 charging. It feels solid and locks in securely, and I haven’t had any issues with charging speed or connection. It supports up to 60 amps, so it charges much faster than the standard Level 1 charger that came with my car. Also love how small and portable it is—fits right in my glove box. If you drive a J1772 EV, this is a no-brainer. It really opens up your charging options!
