Battery worked well for the first month, powering my laptop for 5 to 6 hours when in use. Effectiveness quickly declined there after and now, less than two months after purchasing, it only powers my laptop for 30 minutes maximum.

Easy to get it into the case once I'd gotten the case open, and seemed to charge up decently. The computer wasn't worth replacing the battery in, however: I should have done more research. But that's certainly no fault of the battery!

My 4-year old HP Pavilion wouldn't charge past 90%. I replaced the battery, and now it works like new. Unlike some other laptops, the battery doesn't just pop out. You have to open the case to replace the battery, but there are YouTube videos that show how. In addition to the three visible screws, there are two screws hidden under the rubber feet, and I used a 1-inch putty knife to gently pry the case open. Working carefully, the whole operation took about a half hour. I also vacuumed the dust off the cooling fan while the case was open.

My laptop would no longer hold a charge and I was looking at possibly getting a new computer. I decided to try ordering a battery and see what happens. Well this battery does the job. It does not charge to 100% but it does charge to 95% and holds a good charge. Comes with all the tools needed to take the old battery out and replace with the new one. I'm not the best with technology but this was very easy. I am very happy with this purchase. Would highly recommend.

Buy this one. The battery lasts very long compared to the original battery. Don't know what happened, but the battery died suddenly after 5 months but the seller sent out a replacement.

Amazing battery- long battery life, great build quality, and my computer (HP Pavilion 15-cc553cl) recognizes the battery as OEM. Came extremely well-packaged, with two QUALITY screwdrivers, and a readable instruction manual that doesn't require a Harvard student, three lawyers, and a professional code decryptor. Would highly recommend, 5/5.

This battery is the same as the one that came with my computer. I purchased other batteries in the past that seemed like the same one but were not. This is a challenge to install because HP made the computer that way. But once I got it installed it has worked quite well. It holds a charge for quite a while, which some previous batteries I bought did not.Overall, I am very happy with this battery. It was not cheap but it works well so it was worth the price.

After buying another battery for Geek Squad to replace my old one, I was told it was probably defective. I called HP to be sure of the proper part number for my replacement. This battery fit, charged and did not need to be calibrated, I'm told by Geek Squad. It only lasts 5 or so hours before needing to be recharged, which is ok, not stellar.At least it was readily available and inexpensive, unlike HP's own.
