This book made you think that people that could knit afghans could knit these sweaters. I didn't find a single pattern that I could knit without a teacher. I knit very beautiful afghans. But this was beyond comprehension.

Like: Clear, detailed instructions. Even had general instruction on how to do knitting, crocheting and finishing..Dislike: My Kindle version contained only two photographs, both unlabeled. I want to see what a completed.project is supposed to look like before decide to knit it.The downloaded sample didn't reveal lack of photos. I found out when I bought this Kindle edition. Conclusion: Probably better to get the print edition.I returned my Kindle edition for refund.

I can see me making each one. I happen to like vests, in addition my book was intact. I bought the book used and really have no complaints, even though the front was creased. Without that, it would have looked new, despite its age. It arrived quickly, was well wrapped and I look forward to using it. Thanks.

I had purchased a copy of this from a local crafts store, noticed there were a few blank pages, but went ahead and started making a sweater that I liked. For reasons I won't go into, I got near the end of the sweater and stopped for several weeks. When I came back to it, I found, to my dismay, that the last part of the pattern was missing - one of the blank pages. Convinced that I'd never be able to finish it, I decided on a "hail Mary pass" attempt to find the book online. It was published in the late 1990's and I never expected to find it. I was amazed and very happy when I did find it and am now able to finish the sweater.Oh yes, other sweaters in the book also look interesting and I will probably make one of them, too.

disapponted because it says 16 sweaters.WRONG there are in fact only 8 sweaters. also 8 vests. I don't like vests, so hopefully I will be able to add sleeves to them. Also disappointing is the fact that at least 3 patterns are duplicated..the same pattern is repeated for plain sweater & striped sweater..etc. the patterns in the book are good & I'll try some..but wish there were 16 sweaters as advertised. The patterns are numbered in order 1 to 16...good luck locating the picture that goes with the patterns..scattered throughout the book.
