This Book Seat is great for propping up books while I'm reading in any position. It's of good quality and should last a long time. The mocha color is pretty. I really like the way the book is held in place. The clear vinyl (plastic) lets me read all the way to the bottom of the page. It's not too good for oversized (thick or tall) books.

Hands free reading. I LOVE the book seat. I can read anywhere and at any angle, without straining my hands. The stuffing can be adjusted to accommodate how your book needs to be angled. The loop at the top of the rest makes it easy to carry around. I already bought another one as a gift for my daughter. Wish I had discovered this about 50 years ago.

When I first opened it I thought it was too light and poorly made. I was completely wrong! The stuffing is every light, and conforms exactly to whatever i put it on, my knees, a table, the arms of the sofa, my lap in bed over the covers! It’s perfect!I bought it because I recently had shoulder surgery and can use only my left arm/hand (I’m right handed). It has met all my requirements and surpassed my expectations!Highly recommended!

I am trying to teach myself to read and knit at the same time. I saw a YouTube knitter (Wool Needles Hands) show off this little pillow and I knew I had to try it.I bought the book light separately, but it clips to the point of the pillow and is quite stable so long as there is a book to hold it in place.I saw some people say it was too small for most books so I decided to try it on my copy of Vogue Knitting. It is a large, heavy, hardback book. The book seat works perfectly. I’m sure it has its limits, but I’m honestly quite impressed. This isn’t a book I would sit and read for leisure, but I may want it propped open if I’m trying to follow a specific technique. Seriously a 10/10. The clear plastic holding the book open tells me this was a very well thought out product. It’s well constructed and well executed. My book light even fits in that back pocket with a little finagling.

This fits perfectly in my lap, and has helped me read heavier books without so much strain on my wrists. It sometimes needs adjusting, but it's easy to do. It works fine for hardbacks, but I'm not sure it would work well with paperbacks. The page holder works great, but I've found it's only needed at the beginning and end of a book if you position everything right. I definitely recommend this!

I've recently picked up my reading pace and it began wearing on me. I couldn't lay down and read, I couldn't change positions and read....I couldn't highlight and hold the book unless sitting up the whole time....it became a pain. I decided to randomly type my wish into amazon, "book pillow".....and thanks to someone's review on a "book pillow" item, she mentioned the Book Seat. I've never seen so many rave reviews.....the design...INGENIUS. I ordered it and it's literally THE best thing to happen to me in 2020. I can read in any position...and prop up my books (with a small amount of adjusting) and it just sits there holding my books. I can highlight whenever, where ever I want AND the holder is clear so it doesn't block the last few sentences on the page like an actual book pillow would. Sturdy....well made..thick material but lightweight! A hook at the top. A pocket for my glasses and highlighter at the back. A zipper on the bottom if you ever need to refill the material. I'm going to add a small bag of buckwheat to give the bottom a bit more weight and fluff. Don't mix the buckwheat with the white fluff...it would be a mess. It's my most favorite invention of all time. It's smaller than I expected by that hasn't gotten in the way of the size of books I've put in there. OH the bungee to tighten the holder....wow. The person who came up with this item really, really loved books.Thank you! If I knew more people who read, I would buy it as a gift.CON: The price....but it didn't stop me this time. I might try to come up with my own idea if the price went up. It should be around $25.

Love this book holder! It sits on my legs, is comfortable and light and eliminates the soreness in my fingers from trying to hold a book open or my kindle. It is perfect height so my neck isn't looking too far down or up. My husband also loves his. Would highly recommend! :)

Bought two of these for some 12-15 hour vacation flights. Was pretty pathetic as a travel pillow. The tag sticks out the back where it would be most comfortable to put your head. You literally can't use the other side to lay on because of the plastic book holder. Worked really great as a book-holder, though, and even large books can still fit. I read two 1000+ page novels on our recent trip, and it was nice to not have the neck and wrist strain I'd normally have reading on a flight. Unfortunately, using the item as a pillow also makes it smooshy and less sturdy for holding books in the long run, so ours might already be too worn out to use much longer. Worked for the price.

Purchased as a birthday gift for my mom. She loved it. Was pleased that it held her tablet easily and in place, and that it was really soft and not heavy at all.

Whatever you're worrying about, forget it. I think I read every review on this item and thought, well, I'll just TRY it, I can always return it...No! This baby is stayin with me!The fabric is a soft moleskin or faux suede.Yes, it holds up a kindle.Yes, it holds up thick books too.Ive used it on 700 page hard back books; it holds them just fine. You'll notice a plastic "lip" at the front that can be adjusted to fit just about any width book (maybe not oversized huge text books or coffee table books but you get the idea) buy pulling the toggle. By the way, you don't need to lift your book to turn a page, just flip the plastic lip down and turn .OillaTo Weight or not to Weight:Some people suggested throwing a handful of marbles into the stuffing to weigh the pillow down for heavier books and I fully expected to have to do this. But in the end it doesn't need it. I use it on my lap, hugging it like a pillow but even if I leave it standing (with book or kindle) on the couch or table it holds upright just fine. So it's your call. Yes, the tag says DO NOT OPEN ON FEAR OF DEATH (or something like that) but seriously, unless you're going to inhale the beads, it's really a non issue.Would I buy it again?Yes, I would and I HAVE.After using it for a couple of hours I went back on Amazon and bought one for my daughter (who kept stealing mine) and my sister (who likes to read in bed).LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!
