Fits in kitty tube and has a cord which will connect through the small hole in kitty tube which makes it convenient.

This has been a big help for the feral cat who lives in our alley. Literally lifesaving. When it's cold, the cat barely leaves the kitty tube house. It's hotter than the K&H thermo-kitty and doesn't have a fleece cover. Not sure if that's good or bad. It takes up almost all the space in the kitty tube so the cat can't easily shift off the pad while staying in the house. The cord is odd. There's a lot of length stuck inside the house due to the design and I had to coil it up inside the house. But I would do anything to keep the feral cat warm and this seems to do the trick. The cord is exposed to rain, snow and rats and so far is holding up well.

Fit into kitty tube great including pulling the cord through the hole in the Kitty tube.Being able to separate the cord just outside the kitty tube means easy power down

These work great! Just enough warmth for our feral to be very comfortable.

Just bought the 2nd of this product. Live in the Midwest, so cold snaps and snow are an issue. We have the pod and straw that are from the same vendor bundle. Once the feral cats find this, they stay close by. I don't really expect more than a season or 2 out of the heating pad. That could be due too the moisture, or our outside electricity. If you have feral cats, please also consider the pods and straw. They, and you, will sleep soundly on those cold winter nights without worry.

So far KitKat is very happy with cold weather on its way. Electric cord fits easily thru hole provided on left side of Kitty Tube. Low voltage electric consumption is less than a household night light, so leave plugged in ever since weather got colder in Great Lakes Region. With the heating pad I don't see a need for extra winter insulation available from Kitty Tube manufacturer now...If we get a polar vortex on it's way I will probably see a need for purchasing extra insulation. Kitty Tube comes with very adequate insulation and a fantastic pillow. Tube's black color also absorbs sunlight for warmth...note to remember re-locate Tube in a shady area for Summer months. I did purchase elsewhere a outdoor heated double bowl to keep H2O from freezing and it is located near the Kitty Tube. Our outdoor Kitty has mitten paws (climbs trees daily and even jumps on top of addition roof from his favorite tree...therefore he CAN NOT be inside a house. With the Kitty Tube he is very very happy and it all sits on our raised deck next to the gas grill and is very fashionable. KitKat just loves the whole set-up.

Seems to be reliable, has kept the tube warm so far this year. I do think that for that price it should include an exta cover, so you can change them and put a clean on right away..
