It is similar to how a horse responds to a rider's leg pressure since both horses and dogs have a similar response to sense of touch. They will brace against a source of pressure which is why dogs lean against collars. It is important to measure your dog carefully and order the proper size. Using a flexible measuring tape, measure from just behind the front legs all the way around your dog, similar to a belt measurement on a human. This is your dog's girth measurement. These are sturdy, long lasting harnesses that last for ten years of daily use. I love these harnesses as it protects the dogs throat and neck if they are pullers, but also is designed to not let the dog succeed in pulling by having the leash hook at the front at the dog's chest. This type of harness was recommended to me by my dog trainer and I use them for all my dogs.

We like this harness. Easy on and off. The only thing I can say is it is supposed to stop pulling and it doesn't stop our lab from pulling. He doesn't pull as much but still can and does pull.

Fit my big barreled 90lb English Lab better than other no pulls. Other brands had clasps that rubbed and caused a sore no matter how good the fit. This one is the most comfortable fit him
