I only buy slayers. I believe a lot of duck hunting in particular is having the best looking gear, while also outperforming all your buddies to earn bragging rights. Slayers do just that! While they feel amazing to wear around your neck, they also sound just as amazing. I didn’t think there would be a duck call in the world that’d match the sound of my drake slayer until I bought my dubar, and I was certain there would not be a call that’d match my dubar until I bought this ranger! This call is absolutely phenomenal. I can get low with it to finish em, and get real loud with it to call em back. Very easy to use, and super durable. My only thing about this call, and the drake slayer has the same problem. They tend to stick when the weather gets cold and you’ve been blowing on it non stop. I find it helps a lot to stick em inside your waders, or a chest pocket though. Great call, would recommend to anyone!

The call is loud and has great sound, it did freeze up a bit in extreme cold but performs better than most.

I bought a few cheaper calls to get started this season and wish now that I hadn't wasted the $50 on them and got this first. I pulled the trigger after hearing these calls on a youtube video and a different maker saying that a good call is one you are confident with and one you think looks good which builds that confidence. He wasn't wrong, I hated the look of the cheaper calls and when I got this one I immediately felt more inspired to use it and learn. Now I blow all my calls better and working on fine tuning my sound with this one. Quality call and looks great.
