Your cart is empty.Red Bush Chai is a caffeine-free blend of South African Rooibos and uplifting spices. Rooibos (pronounced ‘Roy-Boss’), Afrikaans for “Red Bush”, is a member of the legume family of plants. It grows exclusively in the Cederberg Mountains and around Clanwilliam in South Africa. The Ancient San Bushmen are believed to be the earliest users of Rooibos. Large-scale cultivation and industrial processing of the plant began during the 1930s. The leaves of the Rooibos bush are harvested, bruised, finely chopped, moistened, and fermented in mounds. The result is a rich flavor and distinct, thin, red-colored leaves. We hand blend organic Rooibos with organic cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, and spearmint.

It's a perfectly pleasant tea, but very mild. Not at all like a robust, peppery chai that you would get with a black tea.

I really like the addition of mint, but overall the flavor of this tea is too light. I use about 4 times the tea I normally would to get the flavor I'm after. The chai spices are pretty faint too. This is basically rooibos and mint with a hint of clove. Not bad, but nor really what I was looking for.

Finally a healthy decaf chai that is everything you want out of a chai tea (no desire for sweetener or making a latte out of this that’s how good it is!)! The Rooibos is so much better for you than black tea and it makes you feel amazing! I’ve been looking for this for 5 years! But I’ve been searching for it by searching the words “decaf chia”. This product has been there all along under other key words!

Nice tea but leaves are VERY fine, a standard brewer will not work. You will need fillable teabags.

This blend lets the Rooibos flavor take center stage, and the chai spice just warms it up a bit. I really enjoy that balance, especially since trying other brands that overpower the mellow rooibos with heavy (and sometimes even bitter) spice.

Delicious tea. I really enjoy drinking spiced chai but do not want the extra caffeine. This red bush tea tastes wonderful and no caffeine. It is loose tea so you need a good strainer as red bush teas tend to have smaller particles. I love making this with a little bit of milk and sugar.

I was more than a little skeptical about a chai (especially at this price) with spearmint in it..but I should never have worried!!! This tea is absolutely AMAZING! I cannot get over how the spearmint compliments the cloves and cardamom. The cinnamon is there but is more of an accent to the already delicious flavor! I use rock sugar with mine and drink it before bed. There is no caffeine in this tea so it's perfect for reading a book in bed! Once again...AMAZING!
