Thermalright has the best coolers! I don't have a glass panel on my computers but if I did, the all white cables and construction would still look very nice. This is such a great value and worked in cramped NAS cases such as the Silverstone Gradia GD10 and the Jonsbo N5. Keeps my 12700K cool enough compared to the $150 air cooler or some contrived water-cooling setup.

I was having thermal issues in a HYTE Revolt 3 with a 240mm AIO, which I thought might have been because the case was too crammed full of components and wires and hoses which were blocking airflow, so I decided to give air cooling a shot. Back in the day I had a Thermalright SP-94 and later an SI-120, and I had heard that their current lineup was not only very high-quality and high-performing, but also great bang for the buck, and this model seemed like a good option. It turned out to be just about exactly the maximum height and size that fits in the case, and it still takes up a lot less volume overall compared to the AIO. I even had room left over to add a 140mm case fan. Sure enough, my CPU temperatures are much lower than before, I'm able to run all the fans quieter under load, and it looks great too, all for about a third of the price of the old cooler. Definitely recommend.

I've been using the stock cooler for my older ASUS motherboard for years and had good temp ranges usually 53 C to 60 C. I don't overclock my PC or use CPU intensive software. I've tried other coolers when I was building my PC, but they didn't do extremely well, especially for the price. On a whim after watching YouTube content creator Gamers Nexus, I thought I'd give this cooler a try since it was time to redo my thermal paste anyway. Love the results. Dropped my temps now to an average of 31 C to 43 C. For my type of PC use. I'll probably keep this cooler for my new PC build when I'm ready to do that, or go with the larger one if needed. Install was a breeze with my older motherboard, and can't see how it would be difficult for newer boards even with higher RAM.

This has slightly less cooling than the non mini version, but that is to be expected. It keeps my Erying i9 12900h board cool with no issues. It fits into the Silverstone SST-GD09B-C case, but just barely. No real clearance, but it fits.I love itNothing to complain about. Excellent cooling. Cheap price. Highly recommend for builds where the full size cooler will not fit.

Update 4/11/2024:So while I still think the Peerless Assassin 120 mini is a great cooler, I have had at least two instances where it just couldn't handle the heavy tasks needed at the time. Now, to be honest, it was because I wanted to overclock the CPU so it ran consistently at 5ghz for certain testing purposes. It definitely made me wonder if getting the original Peerless Assassin model would have kept the temperatures in check as it does have two fans instead of the one you get with the mini. With that being, I don't intend to continue keeping the CPU overclocked once my testing is complete so I'm still happy with what I'm getting from this cooler.Originally I purchased a Noctua NH-L9i for my i9-9900K and for a long time, it seemed like everything was fine....That was until my PC started crashing while either loading or playing certain games.Because it wasn't happening frequently, I didn't think much of it and later decided to upgrade my CPU. I decided this time around to go with a Peerless Assassin 120 as it was highly recommended.I still wanted to use my i9-9900K with another computer and it was at this point I realized this problem wasn't going away. It was suggested I check my core temps and found that the temps were getting into the 100's when the CPU had to handle heavy tasks. When I did the same tasks on my CPU with the Peerless Assassin 120, it was hitting the recommended temps. If I'm correct CPU temps should not reach any higher than 80(70?) degrees when hitting a heavy task.It was then I decided to get the Peerless Assassin 120 mini as I was not confident the original Peerless Assassin was going to fit in my small case.I'll be honest in saying the first time you install a Peerless Assassin you may find some confusion as the instructions are just not as descriptive as I wish they would be. YouTube definitely came to the rescue in this regard. On my second go around, I had no problems with installing the Peerless Assassin mini. I also want to mention that the Peerless Assassin makes it really easy to remove the heat sink so if at any point you want to add more thermal paste or change the CPU, you won't have to remove the motherboard entirely just to do so.I'm happy to say my initial stress test with the mini was great! Temps are no longer hitting the point where it could lead to the PC shutting down and I believe the highest I might have seen was 80+ degrees but it didn't stay there for long and I was not getting any warnings coming from the software I use to check the temp(Core Temp is the software)Unless the cooler comes with the CPU, I'm definitely sticking with the peerless assassin and recommend it to anyone who is seeing there CPU temps go out of control.

This cooler punches way above it's weight class. To start it's very compact which is great for narrower cases. Standard-height tower coolers are a no go for my case. This cooler is designed well. The way the 120mm fan sits on the bottom, on top of the mounting plate... this saves height. The fit and finish are very good as well.I also discovered it's very possible to mount a 92mm fan on the front to get proper RAM clearance. I had to dig out some extra clips but it works, and also adds some airflow.Installation is straight-forward and easy. The mounting system seems adequate and tight. All in all, the value here is oustanding, and Thermalright continues to break the mold for high-value CPU coolers.
