Disclaimer: My rating system: EVERYTHING starts at a 5, and goes from there. I thoroughly read the descriptions and if I don't like the description, I simply don't order the item. If the product shows up as advertised they get a 5. If there are unadvertised flaws, they are duly noted and stars removed accordingly.... that being said:This is a really great remote thermometer. It comes in a convenient little box, ready to go - all you have to do is set up the remote where you want to measure the temperature, make sure it is within range of the base, which is quite a long distance away [from house to garage or so], and let it do its thing. It is clean and thin looking and has an easy to read display. If you have a need to know the temperature outside and want a remote unit to tell you, this will fill the bill with ease. Good product as advertised.

Pretty good set. It is made quality-cheap. It is compact. Plastic material. Comes with batteries which is a huge bonus. The pairing process is a bit odd because it takes five minutes, which seems to be longer than what it should take. It has the ability to add two more remote sensors, which is nice. The display is big enough but it doesn’t have any backlighting, which can be an issue for some situations. Remote sensor can only be mounted to a surface via screw/nail or double-sided adhesive and has no stand — however, it will sit upright but not reliably. Also, getting the battery door open on the remote sensor feels like I am going to break it that has an odd design. Base unit does have a pull out stand or can be wall mounted. The magnet on the base unit is just barely enough to hold it with the batteries in it. Depending on where it is placed, it could possibly fall off.

We got new chickens recently and this time of year they sometimes need a heater on at night until their full feathers come in. This saves us from having to walk out there several times to check the coop temp. It’s only about 200’ from the house but the connection has been great everywhere in the house except when it got put on the far side of the refrigerator. I guess asking it to go through the fridge, through the house, 200’ to the coop, and then through the metal and wood building was too much. As soon as it was taken off that side of the fridge though it reconnected without us having to do anything but give it a better view. It’s currently magnetized on the metalback door and working great. We’ve for other thermometers and such from this brand and they’re all been high quality so I was glad to find this cheap and easy solution and recommend it if you need to monitor just outdoor temps or a coop or something like we have.

I've had several ThermoPro digital thermometers over the years, and all have served me well. I got this for an area where I need to know the temperature in two separate zones, and it's handy to be able to check on the second zone from the one where I spend most of my time. The only issue is that the range in the listing (500 feet) is completely unrealistic. That's absolute, best-case-scenario in an area with no other devices, no obstructions, and absolute perfect weather conditions.

Always read directions first. 🙃 I had a little trouble syncing the two devices but only because I didn’t read first. I did have trouble opening the sensor to insert the batteries though. Probably silly of me, but to me it seemed like it opens upside down. I included pics to show how it opens just in case anyone is mechanically challenged like me. HahaRight now I have the base and sensor sitting about 6-8 inches apart indoors, and the indoor temp reads 69.6F, and the outdoor temp reads 68.2F. Not sure why they wouldn’t read the exact same, but it’s pretty close. I’ll find a place to mount it outside and see if the variance is any greater. Each piece requires two AAA batteries, and batteries are included. No idea what the battery life is like yet. The instructions for setup and syncing are good. The display is easy to read, and the size is good imo - not big and gaudy, but not so small that it’s hard to read.Edit: I moved the sensor outside today. For now, I just laid it on top of the coffee table on my front patio, which is on the east side of my house. It very slowly dropped its temperature reading. It was in the morning sunlight, so I’m sure that’s not a good location. As the sun moved west, the temperature decreased and got closer and closer to what my weather app says. Currently it is 1° different than the weather app at 11pm. So it does seem very accurate. I just need to find a good place to hang out outside.
