Put these on each side of our gate to use with a 2x4 piece of wood to keep gate closed due to security and heavy winds.

Have not install then yet. Got pass thru screws with nut and plate at the other end. The screws it came with were fine, but I wanted extra security. My front door is the weakest part of my house. These with 2X4 lumber should give it a fighting chance.

I purchased the 4-pack for $28.90 to strengthen my privacy fence against possible hurricane damage. As seen in the photo, a 14' 2x4 runs across the gate. These brackets are steel, and the holes are positioned for easy installation. There is a large hole in the center of each bracket to place a fifth screw, but I thought it was overkill and didn't use it.There is only one drop rod securing the gate at the bottom of my fence; I plan on installing another one on the other side as well. With all this done, I hope my fence will weather the season. Very happy with this purchase and would buy again.
