I enjoy fly fishing and always have a net with me connected with a bungie to the back of my vest. Before this net I have used a standard fly fishing net which has been fine but I do quite a bit of off trail bushwacking and it is pretty common for my net to get tangled up in the brush when I'm in the brush so i was excited to give this a try and I was able to get out this weekend and it was great. It folds up quite small but unfolds just by opening it up so it's quick when you need it. And it comes with a bungie but not a magnet so you if you want that you will need to pick that up separately. And I didn't even know it was there while I was going through the brush because it never got hung up like traditional nets do. This will likely be my goto net from now on.

I'd like to like this net, but one of it's best features (small size for packing, storage, or travel) is not available to me because I can't figure out how to fold it back up! I took pictures of it as it arrived, both in the case and after removing it (with a zip tie holding it closed.) I took careful notice of how it was folded as I was unfolding it (see pictures), but despite that I still couldn't get it folded up again. The pictures the company sent to explain the folding process didn't help, and they don't provide a video on the product page. The net itself is very nice. It's light but sturdy and has a deep well and nice rubber mesh. They also provide a stretch lanyard, which is a nice touch. But until someone (or the company) shows me how to fold it, I likely won't use it. I might as well use my usual non-folding net...

I like this net for stream fishing. It comes with a long lanyard to attach to your body. It is designed to fold up to almost palm sized and them put in its supplied sleeve. It has a deep rubberized basket. It should easily handle around a 16 inch or better fish.

I absolutely love to go backpacking and camping, and like to fish while I do it. Carrying a fishing net isn’t very practical, due to its size and weight. The landing net, is both compact and light weight. It comes with a fabric type case, and after removing it, you just push one button to expand it. However, folding it back up to return it to the case, is pretty tricky. I watched the video about a dozen times, practicing the process each time after opening it, and finally figured it out. Even with knowing how to do it, it’s a bit of a struggle for me to return it to its case. There’s an attachable lanyard, that can be utilized to hook it to my backpack. That made it very portable. The net itself, is a rubberized material, which I think will provide for durability. The size of the net is perfect for the way that I fish. The handle is made of quality ABS, and is essentially hollowed out in the center, which is what makes it so lightweight. The handle is very comfortable for me, and I appreciate the nonslip grip.I’m really enjoying this fishing net. I live in Florida, and fishing year round is available. I love the compact size and weight of this net, and once I figured out how to fold it back up, I think it’s a decent product. Due to the difficulty of getting it to fold up, I’m taking off 1 star.

This is a fantastic folding net! I was worried it would be flimsy. It's actually pretty darn solid the bet fabric is nice I ordered the large and it's definitely sized for larger trout.. Cones with a nice carrying pouch I am impressed.

This net is just the ticket for taking in to the backcountry to compliment my Tenkara set up. It's relatively light weight and doesn't take up much room at all in my backpack. The net material is rubber coated to help protect the fish for catch and release. It takes some practice to learn how to correctly fold it but once you get it down it's easy. The "frame" is a heavy duty metal band that should hold up for a long time. The netting appears to be rather durable as well. The handle has some abrupt corners that make it a little uncomfortable but not anything that would prompt me to leave this at home. This will be my "go-to" net for all of my future backpacking trips.

Excellent build quality: light, solid, compact, closing pouch. This one is better built than the folding net made in the USA with a wooden teak handle (I have both and can compare ). Get a large version, which is the same size as the US-made folding net
