Big shock was that in only days after I installed the mail box it started to leak. The rain water consistently flowed into the box very time it rained. All the mail was sitting in water and ruined. No matter how much or how little it rained I came home to water in the box. I had to drill holes in the box to release the rain water.This did not help until I placed an open weave mesh elevated a few inches above the bottom of the box so only some pieces of mail were less damaged by not having to sit in the water which had not yet drained off. This did not really help in the long run. the water blurred the ink used in the printed text thus unreadable. I wasted my money totally.

Once I installed this mail drop, I found that people can steal your mail from the outside drop slot because the drop depth is not long enough for a letter size envelop to drop far enough for the envelope not be be fished out of the box. I am very disappointed because I had to cut a hole in my wall from outside to inside to use this box and now if I uninstall it I have to have the hole repaired on both sides of my house. Not a good buy at all.
