I like the installation and ease of removal for when I want to take the tops of my Jeep. I didn’t like spending an additional $60 for Thule locks.

These were easy to install and stayed put after driving on the interstate for an hour, they look good and seem to be made very well, I installed them on my 2015 JK unlimited. Edited: (Drove 6 hours with these 11.5' long, 52 pounds apiece kayaks and didn't have a single problem, nothing moved or came loose, at an average speed between 60 - 65 mph) (4/23/22 After almost 3 years of hard abuse and constant use they are still holding up great, highly recommend)

I received the 4 rapid gutter mounts and after opening the box they looked cheap. There is a "Thule" sticker on each one that is crooked and faded. The plastic coating was peeling off in some areas. Does not look like a quality product. I like the idea of quick installation and it took a little work getting them installed on the Aeroblade, but overall it worked. I took the stickers off because it looked cheap and looked past that, until I tightened 2 of the knobs and they stripped. I now have them mounted on my Jeep and can't loosen the knobs to take them off. I called Thule support, which was absolutely no help. They said I think you need to fill out a warranty claim online. I filled out the claim online and after about 3 days finally received an email back saying what is your shipping address. I replied with my address and asked how exactly am I suppose to get these off. After another 3 days, he replied "cut them off" "I have sent replacements". I'm glad I will be getting replacements; however I'm concerned how easily the first ones stripped and now I have to cut the other mounts off. Too much hassle and look too cheap to pay $200 just for mounts.

Easy to install. Does the job. My only gripe is you spend a decent amount of money in the product but then have to spend another decent amount for a lock. Thule needs to do better and include the lock.

Thule items are always so expensive. It's my only issue with these products, but they do the job in style.

Product is great. Installation instructions are terrible.I bought these Aero bars for my 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Also purchased the Thule 300R gutter low feet. Make sure you link out to the Thule site to determine the right combinations of feet/bars to fit your vehicle when placing your order. The bars are good quality but installation instructions are a joke. They reference the foot pack for installation instructions. The foot pack tells you nothing beyond a vague illustration on how to install. Here is what I found out after several attempts and gouging out flesh on my left thumb:1. Spray windex on the top of the aerobar when installing the rubber wind diffuser. This is the only way to get this rubber gasket to slide the entire length of the bar while you try to move it down the guiding slot.2. Slip the unassembled feet onto the bars. This is the only way you can get these feet to slide. If you assemble the feet then try to insert into the bar the feet will not move so you won't be able to adjust the width.3. Test fit the bar/feet combination to your rooftop. I have a solid Wrangler roof with gutters so I needed to adjust the feet to fit right into the gutters.4. The product information brags about the Smartslide system but installation instructions tell you nothing on how to use it. You can't even find good information on the Thule website. Just be warned that you have to move each foot independently but keeping the same Smartslide number the same on each side so that the feet are evenly spread with regards to the roof.5. Now you can install the rubber T strips from the feet to the outer bar to fill in the gap.6. Install the end cap.7. Check to see that the bars are now securely resting in the gutter of your vehicle.8. Now you can finally install the bolts, cover and locking wheel for each foot.In the end you get a solid product. I plan to use this for our 2 kayaks this spring. Too bad a company that charges $400 for a pricey roof bar package can't back it up with helpful instructions - either in the package or on their website.

We decided last minute to get the Thule rack system for our son's 2008 Jeep Unlimited Wrangler. Also got the black aero bars to mstch his black Jeep. He loves it. Got a similar set for other son's Suburu Forester a few years ago (different feet) and the quality of Thule is always great.
