Everyone seems to make day hiking backpacks these days, but not every brand does it well. Thule hit the nail on the head with the AllTrail. The pack has plenty of storage for an all day hike, and then some. I haven't filled it to the brim yet, but I'm betting that when I do the pack will be able to handle it. It feels well made, a lot better than many options on the market. The straps and hip belt are comfortable on my larger frame, too. For reference, I'm 5'9", 225 pounds, with a 34 to 36 waist depending on the pair of pants.

I'm a fan of Thule quality, and this daypack did not disappoint. Well made, lot of pockets and a rain cover. Comfy when strapped on.

This bag feels very sturdy, has lots of room, and is packed with features and compartments to help organize your gear. There are lots of buckles and cinch straps to keep the bag tight to whatever you're carrying. It has water bottle pockets as well as a sleeve and tube pass-through opening to use a hydration pack bladder (not included). You could also use that sleeve for a laptop or tablet instead. As an added bonus it even includes a rain cover! The cover has an integral pouch for storage, and a designated pocket inside the bag.Overall it's very roomy and will be great for a day bag. I have a larger frame and it still fit me just fine.
