It's a set of carriage bolts (weird, metric thread) and glorified wing nuts branded by Thule. That's it. This isn't a proprietary design or unique concept. If you end up needing longer bolts for your Thule Hull-a-Port, go to Home Depot and invest in some zinc coated or SS carriage bolts, washers, and wing nuts. You'll spend less money. Use a little Loctite to keep it secure if it makes you feel better.

they are right size for my purpose with the new thule areo bars and using them for kayak cradlethule comes with two different size bolts both not long enoughthule should just have added longer bolts to start off with so i had to buy thesebut they dont lock in with the carriage bolt designthey shouldnt spin when tightening they can only go so far then they start to spini tried putting original back in no problem just not long enough so now im stuck

Bought this for my kayak carrier to work on the Thule Aero Bar. They were easy to install and held the carrier in place.

I have a 2009 Xterra with factory crossbars and according to Thule I needed the Xadapt3 optional package to attach my Glide and Set kayak carrier. Well, when I got the Xadapt3 and followed the instructions, I noticed that the longer 80mm bolts were too long and didn't allow the carrier to be tightened down because the threads on the 80mm bolts only went about an inch up and not the entire length of the bolt. The 60mm and 50mm bolts that came with my kayak carrier were too short and Thule doesn't sell a 70mm bolt or a 80mm bolt that is threaded all the way to the top of the bolt. I called up Thule but all I got was a message saying to leave a message and they would return my call. Well, wouldn't you know it, Thule never bothered to return my call. I eventually had to rig up something myself to secure the Glide and Set kayak carrier to my factory crossbars.Shame on Thule for listing products that aren't compatible and for the worst customer service ever. Although I'm not sure you can call it bad customer service if you don't even get to talk with anyone, more like no customer service at all.
