This thumb grip is well built but if you're a back button focus person, I would stay away from it. It covers the AE-L/AF-L button on the back. If you use manual lenses, than this is not a problem. I gave it 3 stars because I shoot automatic focus and manual focus lenses and because it covers the AE-L/AF-L button on the back, it becomes a problem for me.
