A bit skeptical because of the pressure a Diesel engine creates. This worked great. I’ve put a few thousand miles on the Jeep and it’s still holding strong.

Worked very well, and seems like a sturdier solution than heli-coils. My only complaints are the crazy price to start out (I only had one thread to repair, and such an odd size I’ll probably never use it again), and the counter-boring tool cut just a millimeter or so too deep.

Good instructions and works very well. If head is not removed be sure to use grease to catch the cuttings and go slow.It was certainly a lot better than paying the $2000 the motorcycle shop wanted to pull the engine and do it.

Time-Sert is the best repair available for stripped threads, in most instances. I've used these kits many times over the years, and this one is no exception. A quality product. Do take the time to make sure that the hole you drill and tap is straight. Use grease on your cutting tools if you are drilling into an area where the chips can fall inside of something (such as an engine) and cause damage. Otherwise, the instructions are self explanatory.

Excellent quality tool and insert.I have much more confidence in these than helicoil type thread repair kits.I hope I don't need one again but would buy same if I did.

Got it for my 2001 Kawasaki Vulcan 800A. It was really difficult to find the correct size. Looked all other and only found the 14mm (car) sizes. Worked like a charm. After a little Youtube research was able to not remove the head and install with grease, patience and pipe cleaners removing all shavings and debris. Saved me $800 plus dollars...
