Works just as it should. The material used wouldn't hold up to constant professional repeated use, but great for the mechanic hobbiest.

Great kit could really save your butt. Nice selection of most used sizes. Tools are all well made and nice and strong. So far ive used it a ton of times on a bunch of projects. Basically a must have for any mechanic

Kits like these are a must have if you’re working on cars or nothing really at home. They clean off the burrs and un-gall the threads making re-assembly go much easier. This kit has all the normal sizes and as long as you aren’t working on something crazy, you should be good to go. Huge fan

I bought this mainly to clean the threads in my wheel hub. The chaser taps are correct. But the 12mm X 1.5 is the wrong pitch. Even though it's stamped 12x1.5.

I have a complete, high-end tap and die set that I’ve owned for decades and it is wonderful. However, there are times when I don’t need that kind of precision and potential cost if I break a tap. Often I just need to clean up or recut some threads. That is what this if for. It has a good selection of taps and dies in the larger sizes and I’ve tested it on hardened steel and ss. It worked well in both cases.5 stars.Note: I have been an Amazon customer for almost 20 years. I write all of my reviews to reflect my personal observations and opinions on a product. This is a good working man's thread chaser set. Not fancy, but it does a good job. For years I've used bottom taps to restore bolt holes, but they can be tricky to get started and can easily cross thread. I used these to clean up some bolt holes on an engine block and they seemed to start easier and I don't think they removed as much good thread material as a tap will. I was equally pleased with the dies, as they easily cleaned up some bolts I am planning to reuse. All in all I've seen fancier tool sets, but this one does a good job and you get a lot of bang for your buck. I would buy this set again.

I've been using these for about 3 months now. They are a great set of thread chasers. I work a lot with bicycles, cars, and scooters. Stripped and bolts is common. Prior to this kit I'd have to throw away the stripped bolt or screws. This kits has been a time and life saver. I've been able to restore crushed and damaged threads on both screws and bolts. The tools themselves have not been damaged after several uses. The chases are surprisingly tough. I have to keep the thin black foam in the case so that the parts don't become loose.
