These are excellent traction straps that I can just leave in my truck. They're not gonna get me out of everything, but they will get me out of some of the easier situations. They attach easily to the wheel and leave plenty of clearance around the fender. Just enough traction to get you out of some stock spots. Easy enough to try first before getting into more serious things.

Haven't had to use it but tested it on the tire. It fits really well and I assume it will be helpful in a pinch. The straps feel thick and the stitches look great. I have confidence that this well be helpful when needed.

I am not a professional rachet strapper – but, I sat on the floor of my living room for 20 minutes trying to figure these out with instructions. I have used rachet straps many times, these were not as easy to use as my prior experience – that all said, I am sitting on the floor in my living room – if I was on the side of the express way there is no way I’d be trying to put this together. Once you get past that, they are small. The straps, in my opinion, are not long enough – like, yes, this will work for a small/medium car, but you are already fighting with a sub-par ratchet, now the straps are short? It’s just making this process even harder.It’s not snowing here, and I’m not stuck right now – but, the metal grippers seem like they may help give you a little extra. I am going to keep these in my trunk in case I am in an emergency, but again, I don’t have a ton of faith in this product doing much. Just my personal thoughts and opinion. Thank you.

We live where winter can last for eight months. It begins in October and our last snowfall may be as late as the third week of May—and that one could be ten inches deep.We are well acquainted with the aggravation of being stuck in snow or on ice. We’ve used every possible available resource to get unstuck at times, including chains, boards, cat litter, gravel, water softener salt, the floor mats from the vehicle! We are adding these Traction Straps to our arsenal.They attach to the wheels easily, ratchet in place, and certainly appear to have the needed grip. I can see putting one on each of two tires, or both on the main drive tire if necessary. They are certainly easier to mount than traditional tire chains!My photos show them in place on one of our vehicles. We found that they fit a Chrysler minivan, an old Lincoln Navigator as well as a F250 pickup. We just got these, and it’s late April so we haven’t had a chance to see them in action. I’ll come back and update if (when....) we have to employ them!About the only negative I have is that the instructions for use were not really understandable if one did not already know how to thread a ratchet strap.I see these are now “unavailable.” I hope they become available again as I’d like a set for each of our vehicles.

Haven't had to try these out, other than making sure that they fit my vehicle. Not so hard to put on and seems to be made of quality, heavy duty metal. In an emergency, these might very well be the difference between staying stuck, or getting out of a mess. I think they would work better in mud rather than snow. Keep in mind that these are probably designed just to get you out of a difficult situation and NOT MEANT to be driven when on the road...That would make for a very rough ride!
