I’ll admit I was skeptical of this product, having never used a bread bag before. But I was pleasantly surprised. It definitely keeps my homemade bread softer several days longer than putting it in a plastic bag or wrapping it in a towel. Though you will get mold at some point- bread doesn’t last forever. And if you like a nice crisp crust, well, you’ll be giving that up.The bags are plenty large. And easy to clean- I just shake the crumbs out and wipe with a damp cloth.I found that the bowl cover allowed my dough to dry out more than I like. Perhaps I’ll wet it first next time, or else I’ll go back to plastic wrap.I’m not crazy about the print on the fabric- could be a little more modern and/or subtle, as long as it’s going to be sitting on my counter. But it’s not horrible.Overall, these bags do keep bread fresher longer, though they also seem a tad expensive to me.

These reusable fabric bread bags are great! Very nicely constructed. Strong and durable. The XL storage capacity is perfect for various sized loaves since you can just fold it down if it's too big. The design and functionality is spot on. This is my first time trying out reusable bags and I'm impressed so far. I haven't really had use for the proofing bonnet yet though. They are pretty easy to clean. You just need to make sure they are really dry before storing your bread in them. Great item, especially for the price. I may buy more for family friends to help them do their part in reducing plastic waste. Highly recommend!

First, I want to state that I don't make my own bread and I am certainly not an expert on bread bags.I love bread so I ordered this bread bag to keep my store brought bread and pastries for going stale longer. I don't like putting them in the fridge because they just get dry and hard, which is exactly what I wanted to avoid. The bread bag size is large enough for an average size loaf of sourdough bread and still have space left for a few pastries :-). The design on the bag is not really my style, but it is not terrible either. The wax coating in the interior looks to be evenly distributed. For cleaning, I just rinse it with cold water and prop it upside down to dry.It seems that storing my bread in the bag does extend its freshness by a couple of days. For me, that makes the bag worth the money.

I've never used any special storage for my homemade bread before, I always just use a ziplock bag and it usually gets eaten or goes bad in 3 days. But I stored cut, homemade bread in this bag and it kept without molding for a WEEK! Now, the bread wasn't soft like it was fresh baked but usually with my normal storaging in a ziplock, I could bet on mold growth by day 4. I'm super impressed with this product! Also, I was worried the beeswax lining might be weird, or sticky or what not but it felt just like a smooth waxy coating, I almost thought I ordered the wrong one and got some sort of plastic lined one because of how smooth it was so that was a pleasent surprise! They're nice large sizes, can fit several small loaves or a large artisan loaf. The design is simple, linen outside, wax coating inside, roll edge and snap buckle shut. I'd say some sort of zipper seal would be more ideal in my opinion but I'm not how that would effect bread freshness. Overall, I'm very pleased with the bags and even the proofing bowl cover. They're easy to use, easy to clean, and keep my bread fresh longer!

Update: removed a second star. I put my sourdough in the bread bag (fully cooled) - and, perhaps this is what one would expect? but the crust was soft after a few hours. Not useful for my purposes. I thought it kept it both fresh and aerated. So, the cover for dough is something I've been wanting, and I look forward to trying out the bread bags. I had to look online to see how to use them, because the instructions are very minimal with the product. My biggest hesitation is that this is for my food, and I don't know who made this. There is no evidence of this tirphy bread bag anywhere, which always puts me off because even a small business has a website or other presence. But they seem to be well made and it says they are organic ...

I love these bread storage bags! I really like the large size which makes it so much easier to place longer loaves of bread, such as baguettes, in them for storage. The size also accommodates wider loaves as well. They have a really nice clasp on the end for securing the bag around the bread to keep it air-tight and fresh. I love the all natural beeswax material which is so much healthier than plastic. It is also very durable and easy to clean, just rinse out the crumbs and if needed, you can use a little dish soap inside and then hand dry for storage. Very functional and well made. The proofing cover is great also! Fits nicely and securely on top of my bowl for proofing my homemade bread dough. I also like the cute flower print which gives a nice touch. I definitely recommend this bread bag set!
