Alan Kahn Is truly a master in teaching you how to use the speed bag to your ultimate potential. When you learn how to use the speed bag correctly you will find you can work out longer with more enthusiasm. Sure anyone can hit the speed bag once, or twice, maybe even for two minutes, or so. But when you apply the techniques that Alan Kahn shows you step, by step, now you have an art to practice and then you can walk and talk your stuff. We are very confident that Alan Kahn is the best teacher in this game that if you don't think so... we will return your money including shipping charges. We are not stating that Alan Kahn is the best boxer, what we are saying is that he is the master in the speed bag training game. If you ever purchased a speed bag and found that you didn't use it enough it is because you did not learn how to use it to improve your style and approach to this type of exercise. When we saw Alan work the speed bag like no one we've ever seen before we wanted to make this video available for you. Alan shows you some very simple moves that you can apply even with a beginners speed bag unit. If you have already used or if you never used this form of exercise before when you watch Alan hit the speed bag for a few minutes you will know for the first time that you are now going to use your speed bag a little different from now on.

Top Art speedbagger. He is good, skilled, surprising he is not more popular. Well, for me ears . .If I was not so old, he could improve me kicking too. Hand techniques and other skills. He is good Art instructor. Have not see any one better with as many styles to learn.Nice if he had a student to show in how to do demo of schooling The Art ; too.

If you are just starting on a speedbag, you want this video. Alan Kahn covers equipment, setup and maintenance of your gear. He then begins with the basics and progresses to more challenging techniques and combinations. He's an excellent instructor. I have his book also, another valuable resource, but if you are like me there is nothing like watching the right technique. His tips on equipment are worth the price even if he didn't do the instruction -- but you get both. The actual video was originally recorded on film and transferred to a DVD, so the video quality could be better, but it's more than good enough for the purpose.Buy this, you won't be disappointed.

the disk is great I love it and I review a new combination on the disk each time before I go to the gym. However, I ordered a copy of the book and the disk was sent instead. Is it possible to get a copy of thebook so I could take it with me to the gym. Or is the book not being published any more. In fact I would love to have a copy signed by Mr. Kahn himself. What do I need to do?Thank youTerry Allenterryallen3@weber.educell: 801-913-4515

awesome. absolutely great information in this one. Production value is terrible, and the dude's mustache is hilarious, but he not only hits that speedbag like a beast, he really breaks it down so that you can understand it. Highly recommend

Seldom has any subject been taught so thoroughly and simply. The video is not fancy at all and there is something about that which makes it pure. Mr. Kahn names, demonstrates and explains each move in such a way that the actual learning part is almost automatic. First he does something that seems almost impossible then breaks it down into it's components in such a simple way that it sends you running to the bag to do it. I have put a in my basement a week and a half ago and I am already hitting the bag in the basic rhythm and doubling up on my punches with either hand leading. I can do a front roll but I'm having a little difficulty hitting the back of the bag. I did start the elbow strikes a couple of days ago and I can now do a double strike with a elbow lead. I only hit the bag about 20 minutes a day and had never hit a speed bag before in my life. So I know I will get much better. Believe me it is an exhilarating feeling and gives you a great sense of accomplishment when you learn the each skill. If you want to learn and learn properly this is about the only way to do it outside of getting a private coach. In fact it feels like you have a private coach.

After 40 years of being stuck in basic rhythm purgatory, Alan Kahn unlocked the secrets of the speed bag for me in 2 short and entertaining hours. He demonstrates how to use the speed bag not only for a great workout, but also as a complex rhythm instrument. It may appear to be slow-going at first, but Alan presents in a thorough, methodical, and personable way, from A to Z, what the speed bag is all about. He explains and exhibits the various attacks both at speed and in slow motion, and explains and demonstrates how to link the core attacks together to punch-out the beat to your favorite songs or to just enjoy mixing it up. It's all about control and economy of motion, and Alan shows how to turn what usually is an exhilarating but frustrating beginner experience into a sure-fire recipe for absolute speed bag proficiency. Within 2-3 weeks of moderate practice I was able to perform every attack and link them together into a really enjoyable routine. In piano terms, I would equate the improvement to advancing from playing "Chopsticks" to "Rhapsody in Blue" in a few short weeks. A tiny investment well worth the results. The price can't be beat, and Alan prepared and distributes his DVD and Book not for profit, but for the love and advancement of the activity. This is the most complete and well-presented instructional video on the subject that I've had the good luck to come across. Alan also published a book to compliment the DVD (see the DVD first), which introduces an easy-to-learn notation method for communicating strike details like sheet music instucts a musician, and provides advanced instruction. Doing it well is really fun! THANK YOU ALAN!! KL

I like this DVD very much. I am a novice with the speed bag and this DVD gave me a lot of very useful training help for a beginner and I will be able to use it for a long time as I try to inprove my skills. It has a lot of stuff in it.
