My wife had been requesting one of these units for some time as she used one at a friend’s home. I acquired this unit and easily assembled it for our main bathroom. It is quite adjustable, both in width and height, which is very nice. We did have to get another bath trash can as the previous was a little large and both it and the Safety Rails would not fit beside the toilet, our bath area is relatively small. These rails certainly help one raise and even lower oneself onto and off the toilet and have been a welcome addition for both of us. My only complaint is that the crossbar that goes behind the toilet seat is thick enough so that sometimes our seat lid will not stay up. The crossbar is adjustable for width so I can see why it needs to be sturdy. We also use a padded seat cover which is a little thicker than standard I suppose. I highly recommend this set of rails for elderly or disabled individuals.

Well, I am 75 years old and hate that I need this. But I am ever so glad that I have it. In fact, the reason that I bought this one is that I have a brother a few hours away who is beginning to need help, so I go visit and help. I already had one of these at home, but when I went to his house there was not one. And I missed it. So I ordered this one for me to use in my bathroom at his house. It is such a help. My knees are bad but I still have good strength in my arms, so this is perfect. It is sturdy and secure. It is also easy to set up, even on a toilet with a bidet. Like I said, I don't like that I need it, but I am VERY glad that I have it.

Very helpful after knee surgery. It is easy to assemble. It is easy to adjust the railing as well.
