Power steering pumps are very easy to change out. The issue arises when you receive the replacement part and notice that it didn't come with the cheap pulley. Well, this could be a big deal if you live far from one of the big box stores. For the last five years, the big box auto parts stores have realized that instead of being competitive with the internet, they will charge you two to five times the wholesale online price of the part. I have learned to be aggressive with preventative maintenance and replace wear items (like a power steering pump) before it gets too bad. I used this on my XJ to swap out the pump. Took me about fifteen minutes. Where I'm staying right now, this would have set me back at least five hundred bucks. Instead, I paid about 1/4 that doing it on my own. This kit has various threaded pieces that will fit different pump designs. It is a required tool to do the job!

Order the product to change the power steering pump on my Chevrolet truck. The kit came in plain packaging with a convenient blow molded case to keep everything it.Worked like it should and made swapping the pulley over a breeze. The thrust bearing is a nice touch vs. just a washer or the difficult slip between metal parts.
