I replaced the guts of my Toto Acquia II toilet - flush valve, fill valve, and flush push button. The fill valve and push button came with good instructions. The flush valve? Nothing. Pretty disgraceful. What would it cost to include instructions? Like 5 cents. The good news is that there are good YouTube videos out there so the job went well and the quality of the parts seems a cut above the toilet parts you can buy at home improvement stores.

Amazon said it was the correct for my toilet but was wrong. Did not fit. Unfortunately will nave to go through the process to return from a small town in Nothern Minnesota. Pain in the butt.

I have an older Aquia II and needed to replace the flush mechanism. The original install was a THU224 and this THU435 is the updated replacement part. The 435 has an additional tube to fill the tank that the 224 does not have and it creates some complications installing it. The tube cannot be installed to the front or back due to the clearance of the tank and it cannot be installed to the left or the right due to the nuts that attach the tank, so you are left having to install it at the 2:00 or 4:00 position. That's easy enough, but then creates some complications with the flush buttons since they are designed to line up with a perpendicular install (also note you need to buy the updated flush buttons since the length is different). It takes some fussing to ensure the buttons line up on the proper angle and still look decent on the top of the tank, but it's do-able. For a "replacement" part, though, this isn't nearly as straight forward as it should be to install.

This Flush Valve (THU435) does replace the old part (THU224). I would recommend you purchase a new Tank to Bowl Gasket (9BU062E) and Fill Valve (TSU99A.X), given you will be removing the whole Tank to do the repair. Also pegs on the existing Push Button Assembly will not be long enough to reach the new Flush Valve buttons. I cut 1/4 inch wood dowel to the proper length to solve the problem.
