Please Note Before Installation:
1. Ensure the lamp is powered off before installation.
2. The touch dimmer switch only works with dimmable bulbs.

To help you get started with your new touch dimmer switch, please follow the wiring instructions below to connect it:
T: Green-Touch wire (Green is connected to the metal parts of the lamp body)
N: White-Neutral wire (White is connected to both the power wire and one of the lamp head wires)
R: Red-Lamp head wire (Red is connected to the other lamp head wire)
L: Black-Live wire (Black is connected to the power supply)

I have a small touch lamp that belonged to my mom and when the light burned out, it just stopped working altogether. I ordered this kit and overall I would say I’m extremely satisfied with how it worked out. If I have one criticism it is that the directions are a little bit on the minimalist side. But with a little luck and crossing of my fingers, I installed it, and my little lamp works perfectly again. Overall, very pleased with this kit.

Fit perfectly inside a medium size table lamp. Very easy to install. For now, it works 100%. I would recommend using colored installation guide shown with product posting vs. the black-and-white version that comes with this touch sensor. Also, I don't know if it makes a difference for this kit, but it is a good idea to verify polarity of the lamp wires that you are working on. Wire that has a wider prong at the outlet plug is "neutral". Narrower one is a "phase" or L or "hot". Time will show how long this sensor/dimmer will last, but for now, I can recommend this. It comes with everything that is needed to do the whole repair.

Made my touch lamp work like new. ( Thyrister shorted when lamp burned out) could have just replaced the thruster but for $10 I just replaced the whole unit. I may replace the thyrister and keep it for when fhe next bulb filament burns off falls down shorting and blowing the thyrister.

Bought an old touch lamp and the touch feature had been removed. Bought this to install and it was super easy! I was worried I might mess it up but it wasn’t hard at all. The quality is good, the box fit inside my lamp perfectly so my lamp looks good. The lamp has 3 brightness levels now thanks to this thing! It’s very functional and makes my vintage lamp work like a charm. If the paper instructions aren’t clear, youtube has plenty of videos too.
