Fly boots do not stay up on the leg collapsing and providing little fly protection. Also, the Velcro straps are not sewn securely.

First night one was totally destroyed. I bought these for a mini donkey and they are still too big. Had to make sure I wrapped tight for them to stay on and still he lost one the 1st night. It was found all torn up laying in the paddock. Donkey is 2 years old and not ever a problem. He is not usually rough on things.

These were advertised as for minis. I purchased them for my 2 mini donkeys and they were massive on them. I desperately needed them as the flies were eating my donkey's legs, so I wrapped them as tight as I could get them. Within 2 days, they had managed to step on the bottom enough that they were ripped to shreds. I feel they really need to re-evaluate the sizing. They were big enough in width that they would have been better to have gone around my Quarter Horses's legs.

I have a mammoth donkey and these wraps fit great. He has them on all the time, and I use a tube sock (cut down) to pad the inner lining a bit. It works great, keeps them cleaner longer. Very happy with purchase.UPDATE:Bought these boots in June (July?) and it is now May, so almost a year! They have been used a TON, gone through the washing machine probably about 30 times, and have yet to fall apart. They slide down a little bit, but thats to be expected with my donkey rolling in sand piles and wearing them all day and night. Very happy with them and especially with the price point.

I give these boots a zero out of 5 stars. These fly boots fell apart the first night of use. I bought these for my miniature donkey. They were way too big for him. They are more the size for a medium pony. The stitching fell apart at the bottom less then 12 hours in use. Iām waiting to receive my money back. DO NOT BUY THESE!!!

When we got our donkey her little legs were practically bloody from fly bites or gnats. She got better by using Swat ointment but if I should forget to apply it in the morning her legs would be bloody again.So the fly boots are an effective non-chemical way to protect her and she looks so much better than in the beginning! Hair is growing back, it also protects her skin from her being able to scratch the areas with her teeth which helps with the healing.I leave these boots on day & night but take them off to clean her legs & check everything is ok. The only drawbacks are that the boots seem to slip and flies started to bite in areas that are not coverered above the boots. So i still need to apply some fly protection but 80% of the area is now protected and can heal. Much better. I wish there were boots that reach above the movable parts of the legs and it would be 100% protection. But they are definitely worth 4 stars!

I purchased these fly boots for my donkey. They are great! They fit great and are very adjustable. She is in the pasture 24/7 with run in stall. These boots stay up and have been on her without falling off or tearing or anything for a straight two weeks. There has been no rubbing of her skin and she seems very comfortable with them on. Anything to keep the flies from eating her skin raw. As long as they stay in place I am leaving them on.

These work great they were a little big but i just wrapped them around my.mini donkeys leg twice and they stay up the flies stay off. She wears them 24 hour and a day. I of course remove them and groom her and check for any rub spots every day. So far they have not caused any rubs spots and her legs are healing up from the terrible fly bites she had.
