It fits my hitch properly, and I like that it is black and sort of blends in as a part of the hitch that from a distance someone may not even realize that you have it on there. The key is decent, but I wonder over time will weather affect it?In my opinion, this really is meant to slow down a thief. If you think of it in that way, then your expectations are in line with its intended purpose. This is not going strong enough to stop a thief from ultimately stealing your trailer. If they really want it and have the time, they will get it. I would think that a lock like this will tell them to go elsewhere because all of the effort and noise they would have to make to get this off, and hopefully that will alert you or neighbors as to what is going on.
