These trivets make a great kitchen addition as they are very versatile and can be used for hot dishes and pans or as coasters.We have used them primarily for coasters for our dining table. My wife and I are huge fans of the base and the stackable tree look as you can easily leave it out in the open. I feel our previous coasters were usually an eyesore but not this set!Some notable qualities of the trivets are their durable design and thickness. The subtle brown color blends nicely with almost any decor.One thing we’ve noticed: they can sometimes pop up a bit unless there's some weight to hold them down. It’s not an issue with regular mugs, but lighter plastic or paper cups (especially when our coffee’s running low) tend to sit less firmly.Aside from this small quirk, this is a fun, versatile coaster set to have in your kitchen!

This is such a good idea for a trivet. it is a pretty decorative item on my island that transfers into a useful and convenient surface protector in a second.The wood it is made of feels good quality. Elastic bands that keeps the leaves together work very well. They are cone shape when you take them off the stand but any minor weight item you our on top flattens them with no issues. The lightest item I tried that flattened it was an empty ceramic mug. It probably will not flatten under the weight of a paper cup but I am no using them as coasters anyway. It works well with am empty Corelle lunch plate and that is the lightest item I'd use it with.

Good for placing hot pots and pans on rather than setting them straight on your quartz counter tops. Would have given 5 stars but it doesn't want to lay flat. If I have a hot pot and need both hands, it's hard to push down the star to lay flat.

These are nice trivets for sure but are a little pricey. For several dollars less you can find an almost exact match to this set. They do work very well and are large enough for most pans. One thing I'm not in love with is the metal ring that holds the leaves of the trivet together. The tension on it makes the trivet stand up like it's on legs and if you don't have a free hand it could take some practice to set your pot/pan just right so when you push down on the trivet it spreads out flat. I'd rather have had something like a small chain keeping the trivet together so when you lay it down it just lays flat and doesn't have to be pushed down flat.

This set of trivets on a stand is absolutely adorable. I’ve noticed that they tend to align themselves rather than stay staggered but it doesn’t diminish the charm. The wood is stained and sealed nicely; I placed a heavy pot on one overnight atop a piece of butcher paper and there was no color transfer or oily residue left on the paper. There was no smell or funny odor, and the trivets nest on the stand securely.The stand base could be a bit wider but it works fine. The trivets don’t collapse flat without weight on them so I tried a few items to see what was enough. Cork trivet - no; Corelle 2-plate set - yes; dinner plate alone - yes; bread plate - no. I like that the trivets sit upside down like a flower too - cute! The bands that hold the trivet petals together seem strong enough to last because hot surfaces wont touch them when placed under a pot or pan. But I would keep the kiddos from playing with them - not a toy and they don’t provide replacement bands.You have to store this set atop a surface because the stand does not collapse, so be sure you have a nice spot for that. These will come in handy during potluck parties and I expect to get compliments on a clever set of interesting trivets.
