The product description included a table that used shoe size to select the gaiter size. Based on that table, I selected a "Large". When I received the gaiters they were way too small. I was unable to close the gaiter by at least 2" and my legs are average size.The construction looked very good, for a budget gaiter. All stitching was straight and well finished. The components seemed to be well made. The insides were coated which means that they won't breathe but it also means they are probably waterproof as well. I think they would be fine for occasional use in cooler temperatures or if you can't afford higher quality gaiters.

I like that these gaiters go up to just below my knee and have an internal belt to cinch them tight. I wear XL pants but went with the L gaiters, and these fit well at the exact velcro match. I thought the top was too loose until I realized the strap pull thru like a drawstring. I do not like how the strap just dangles, like 8” of strap flapping loose. Maybe I’m supposed to tuck it inside the top.Being waterproof, these make my legs very sweaty. They are warm, but do not breathe.The bottom boot strap is not a good fit on my grooved wedge-sole boots. It is made for a raised heel, or a show with a split sole like some hikers/trainers. I could feel myself stepping on it when on hard surfaces, and in the woods it caught sticks. (see photo)I’m not sure I even need that strap, these lay the same on their own, unbuckled. I might try swapping it out for a thin, abrasion-resistant cord.These were good in cold weather, atop of pants. Good on messy, wet ground.Stitched well. Uses a good-quality hook&loop fastener; it fastens well, holds strong. Isn’t too difficult to adjust, but jt does take me a few adjustments to get it flat. The outer material is mud-resistant, and has an excellent camo pattern. Overall I am pleased with these.Has a metal clip at the bottom and a little flat to set the bottom corner square. It helps, but I find starting at the too to be easier.

I'M SENDING THESE BACK, THEY ARE WAY TOO THIN TO BE SNAKE PROOF, WOULD NOT HOLD UP AGAINST A RATTLE SNAKE BITE. MAYBE PROTECTION AGAINST LOW BRUSH OR SNOW.

Ordered theses. I wasn’t sure what size they were going to be as there was no option for sizing. I’m an average sized guy and the large that they send won’t go around my legs.

...but pay attention to "A" on the size chart!! DO NOT follow B or shoe size!So, I ordered these to modify for a costume I'm putting together. Unfortunately, the Larges I ordered, which should work with my shoe size, will not work for me without many more modifications than I intended. They're too small for my calves, but just a tiny bit for the right and a little bit more than that for the left. I wear a size 10 women's shoe, which is about a size 7 in men's and on the lower end of the shoe size range for these. I figured the shoe size here was for a men's shoe. Since men's calves are often larger than women's my reasoning was that the Large version of these would work and might even be larger than I need. Nope.That being said, I'm sure these will work well for people whose calves are smaller than mine. Just be sure to measure your calves at the thickest part to be sure these will work.

I’m really glad I ordered these. These are pretty well made and few quite durable. They are super easy to put on since they just Velcro around your leg. Speaking of the Velcro, it is very heavy duty, so you don’t have to worry about it coming undone as you walk around. There is a strap at the top of the calf to adjust the diameter to fit your calf so that everything stays in place. The strap that goes under the boot feels pretty tough and shouldn’t wear out any time soon. There is also a hook on the bottom front edge that can hook to your laces to prevent the gaiters from moving up your leg if you step into deep snow/grass/weeds/mud. I am a farmer and a hunter so I frequently have to walk through tall grasses or weeds that are wet and these gaiters are a life saver. They seem to be truly waterproof and keep my legs dry and comfortable. I have no complaints about these and would highly recommend them.
