I have a 2600 square 1 story house I have 11 rooms total I installed one 4 ceiling units on one side of house 36k and 3 ceiling units on other side 27k.each room have a btu according to square of rooms 9k is plenty for 2 150 sq rooms I have 12k for the 3 250sq rooms and 2 18k for the 440sq rooms got to keep doors open in bathrooms and and etc that don't have units installed it has heated at -17 with no issues and cooled quite well in 104temps it all depends on where the outside unit is and where and when sunlight hits.if you want good heat you got to have sun or coverage to keep from freezing outside coils so system doesnt go in defrost mode all the time.for good ac you have to keep inside from freezing and not buy units too big for square footage in rooms.im a mechanic and understand a/c systems mini splits work both ways.you want killer cold inside cool down outside unit.you want awesome heat warm up outside unit.all works off ambient temp not the same as real feel temps got to keep that in mind.and wrap the hell out of the exposed pipes it will change temps and vacuum system Completely before releasing freon.calculate btu and don't over do it but I found always go 1 size up if you have tile or drafts in that room for the square it helps to compensate.best advise I can give and definalty costs cheap then gas and 50amp generator can run both units no problem if power ever goes out it says 30 amp per system max I ever see is 15 with both systems running none stop

Horriable Horriable Horriable. Have had unit in for 3 days and nothing but issues. One unit gets too cold and freezes, one unit dont blow cold. AC tech cant figure out what's going on. Dont buy it!!Update, I have had this thing installed for a month now and still nothing but problems. Don't keep my house cool and I only have a 1,000sf house. I regret buying this thing. I have over $4,000 invested and holes in my ceiling so gotta stuck it up until I get more money to get different units.
