Purchased the Tenmile 3x18x44 ffp scope. Loved the glass and reticle however when cycling the illumination knob notice if you went one direction to make adjustments the illumination never turned off. What is more annoying is I tried to get it replaced with a new one but the seller decided that I would have to return it and pay more for a new one.

I've had leupold, Burris, vortex, primary arms. They are either all too heavy, leupold has bad reticles for the price unless you want to spend 3k. Primary arms glx 4.5-27 was too heavy for my application and had to play around to get a good picture for any change in distance, I didn't have the most expensive Burris but I didn't like the one I had, vortex Is OK but tenmile is better. The tenmile has super bright glass and no distortion, holds zero , almost perfect reticle, and is the lightest crossover scope you will get with the features. Save time and just get this. The trijicon name speaks for itself

Long range shooting? Long range hunting? This is the best scope for all that. I have it for about a year, no problems (I had to change the battery right when I bought it). I shot an elk at 680 yards and target practice up to 1000 yards, works flawlessly. I will buy it again for my next long range setup.

Initially I took it to range and couldn't get it to Zero. I couldn't get windage to move Right far enough - like 2 inches off. I decided to return it but the company wanted 20% restocking fee ($400) because I had mounted it to my rifle. So, I contacted Trijicon and they told me: "There is a windage limiter installed into the windage adjuster. Remover the turret top cap and then the turret. You will see a small pin on both the adjuster housing and turret. Remove either one and you will have full windage adjustment.". I removed one of the pins and went back to the range and was able to zero easily. I did reinstall the pin and set windage to zero. I can easily hit 200 yard target with only 20 power on scope. I love the ability to zoom out to 50X. I would buy it again now that I know how to adjust windage.

Nothing else to say, so I'll repeat it: All around great scope.

To be clear, I'm reviewing the Trijicon Tenmile 4.5-30 x 56 scope with the MRAD Precision Tree Reticle. This is my first "exotic" scope, and I hope to use it for long range competitive shooting out to maybe 1000 yards. My eyesight isn't perfect anymore, and so I wanted something with a big 56mm optic and slightly more magnification than many of the competitive scopes. When I narrowed it down, there weren't all that many choices - in addition to the Trijicon, it pretty much came down to NightForce, Vortex, Carl Zeiss, Steiner, Leupold and Swarovski. The other thing is that I didn't want a super-heavy scope...it's going on a Christensen Arms MPR rifle - light weight, lots of carbon fiber, etc. Last thing I wanted to do is bolt on several more pounds of metal. The scope was in perfect condition out of the box, and the amazing construction quality really impressed me. This is a fine optic made of high quality materials...it will probably outlast me. I chose Steiner T-Series 34mm rings, and had no trouble mounting it on my rifle. The turrets work perfectly, with exactly the right combination of "click" and force needed to move them. The reticle can be lit in red or green, and there are five brightness levels of each color, from subtle to glaring. The scope comes with both standard lens caps and flip-up caps, depending on your preferences, as well as a screw-in sunshade for the front optic.Optically, like everyone else, I want a scope with sharp optics, good eye relief and a generously wide eye box. At about 3.5-3.8" of eye relief, the Trijicon isn't steller, but it works well on my rifle. I'm happy to say that at all magnifications, the image is about the best I've seen from any scope I've owned, with crisp, sharp and saturated images even at the highest magnification. At the shooting range, I couldn't be happier. After spending a few shots getting the scope zeroed in, I was able to place a 5-shot group inside an area about the size of a US nickel, and I've had great results out to about 300 yards. I'm still waiting to try the truly long distance at 1000 yards, but my local range doesn't have anything quite that big, so it'll have to wait. Still, I'm encouraged at the performance of this Trijicon scope, and I definitely appreciate the 30x zoom versus the 16 to 25 on most of the other brands I considered. Definitely a keeper.Unrelated to the scope itself, I wanted to mention that I first purchased the scope through Amazon, but they seemed to have trouble handling the payment to the vendor. I'm as loyal to Amazon as they come, but this transaction just seemed to get lost in the mix somewhere...Amazon thought my bank declined it, the bank showed me where it had been authorized, and the vendor was stuck not wanting to ship an expensive item without getting paid. After an hour chatting with Amazon, the vendor and my bank, I gave up and unfortunately had to cancel the order and purchase directly from Optics Planet. The whole mixup took ten days to sort out, but in the end, it was probably worthwhile.Bottom line is that if you're looking for a first-class scope, you probably know what you want - but in my opinion, the Trijicon 4.5-30 is definitely worth a look.

Purchased for a SIG Cross before knowing how massive the scope is! It turned out it's bigger than my rifle! I'd say more suitable for heavier caliber. The glass was spot on! Very clear and bright with great eye relief. It is made in Japan but still Trijicon quality. Turrets could have been more tactile (comparing to ACOG, which is tactile and smooth)
