My CAD station has two extended. My goal was to mirror both monitors at a standing desk right behind my station. I found some KVM switches that would accomplish that, but they were 4x the price. I tried other splitters but the resolution was degraded. These splitters work perfectly. Resolution on all 4 monitors is great. I thought they were a little expensive, but I'm finding they were worth it.

Just stopped working as a booster. Used 15 times for two hours each time with no issue but not sure what the issue is as it just stopped actually boosting the signal. (keeps intermittently showing signal on the projo and then off) Tried with both outputs to no avail. Perhaps its wishful thinking to get more than 30 hours out of it. DO NOT BUY as it lasts just long enough to pass the return window.Using with Macbook with MDP-VGA adapter, 80FT VGA Cable, and OPTOMA W305ST.

I have a dual monitor setup in my office. When I need to review an order with my sales team, or some ERP issue with Accounting, I usually rotate one of the monitors in such a way that a couple of people can share the screen with me. At other times though I might have something I need to review with 5 or 6 other people and walking down to the conference room to use the projector would be overly complicated. In those cases I use this device to expand my config to three monitors, sharing the main screen with an extra monitor I have mounted to my wall. Please note that this product will not "extend" or "span" across multiple monitors, to use Windows terminology. What it will do is duplicate one screen onto another screen. Do not buy this if you are looking for a way to expend or span your desktop.

I have had the splitter in place for about 2 weeks now. It works well - it allows you to display the same thing on two different monitors. It seems to work with either type of DVI cable - as I am using both types. I think it is an excellent value. There is one small issue - the monitors don't wake up automatically. My situation is that I have dual monitors with the extend onto the second monitor. Then I have this splitter attached to the second (non-primary) monitor, so that I actually in the end have 3 total monitors. The primary, and the the secondary displayed on 2 monitors. So when my computer goes into sleep mode, I can wake it by moving the mouse - but when I do this only the primary monitor wakes up. The other two monitors do not wake. If I turn the power for the second monitor on and off - then for about 1 sec it says no video display - and then it comes on and looks normal. I've had the dual monitors for a long time - but only recently got the splitter - and now the problem crops up. So I never had this issue before I got the splitter. Any help appreciated. They are all Viewsonic VX2250s. I run Windows XP on a Gateway desktop that is ~2 years old.

I needed to mirror a PC display over three LCD monitors and a LCD projector for a trial. Initial research into how to do this shows there was substantial misinformation out there. I saw a lot of people suggesting that it could only be done with several video cards. BS. This device did exactly what it says it will do. It took the DVI output from my computer's video card and split it into 4. It also amplifies the signal, which was important because I was using two 35' long DVI cables to run the monitors to the witness and judge. I used DVI-HDMI cable to send the signal to my projection, and a short DIV cable to send it to a monitor on my table. I also had a separate monitor hooked up to my computer (the motherboard on the tower I used has two video outputs). This second monitor, only I could see. Worked like a charm. Apparently, you can chain several together to get many more copies. I just used one.I really like Tripp-Lite. I get a sense from their YouTube videos that it is sort of a mom&pop engineering firm. I also own a very large Tripp-Lite DC-AC Inverter that is really well built. This splitter is quite small - smaller than it looks. Really well built - all metal. A nice touch is the screw in power inverter cable to ensure it doesn't come disconnected.All-around a super product that affordably did exactly what I needed it to do.

This splitter will work for DVI-D signals. BUT BEWARE: Under no circumstances will it split or use an ANALOG DVI SIGNAL. More importantly to the average user, this means:You CAN NOT use a DVI-VGA adapter on the output side of this box. There is no output analog signal to adapt. EVEN if you use a DVI-I (Digital & Analog) Cable as your input, the box strips out the analog and only passes the digital signal.I found this out the hard way and had to return it. It looked like a great box that would reliably do what it does, but if you need to send a signal to something analog, (like a projector with a VGA port) This CAN'T do it.TrippLite Tech Support basically confirms all I've written. In summary, if you want to split a DIGITAL DVI (DVI-D) signal, great box and a good price. If you need to output to an analog port, DO NOT BUY.
