The U444-06N-V-C USB 3.1 Gen 1 to VGA DisplayPort Alternate Mode External Video Adapter supports USB DisplayPort Alternate Mode for displaying video on a VGA monitor via your computer, laptop or tablet’s USB-C port. It’s an ideal tool for multitasking, editing documents, or giving presentations at trade shows and conferences.
No software or drivers are needed. Connect the adapter’s USB-C male plug to the USB-C port on your device. Then, connect the adapter’s VGA female port to a monitor using a VGA cable (such as Tripp Lite’s P502-Series) to see full VGA video. The U444-06N-V-C supports high-definition video resolutions up to 1920 x 1080 (1080p) at 60 Hz.
The U444-06N-V-C includes a USB-C charging port that supports power input up to 20V 3A (60W). The U444-06N-V-C powers the device that it’s plugged into by connecting the USB-C charging port to a USB-C wall charger.

Los cables y adaptadores Tripplite antes me habian funcionado bien, además que su costo es razonable. Razón por la que compré el adaptador.Pero al intentar poner un 3er monitor por USB-C con este adaptador no funcionó. Lo conecté a una laptop Dell de las ultimas (les debo el modelo) y windows 10 lo reconoció e instaló el controlador genérico de adaptador de video USB inmediatamente sin problemas. Conecté el monitor al conector HDMI del adaptador y reconoció que estaba conectado (desapareció el mensaje de "Not Plugged"). Pero al intentar decirle a windows que enviara video al adaptador, nunca pude. Desconecté el 2o monitor del puerto HDMI de la laptop (dejé el monitor solito en el adaptador en el conector HDMI), intercambié monitores (un Samsung y un Huawei), desinstalé el controlador y se reinstaló, busqué alguna clase de información de que podía faltar, y nada. Windows 10 (ultima version con todas las actualizaciones al dia de hoy) simplemente no veía el monitor en el adaptador. Incluso intenté conectar mi Xiaomi Note 7 al adaptador y tampoco. Una lastima por el precio y el tamaño.Voy a intentar con otra marca, al parecer esto algo común con estos tipos de adaptadores, eso de estar intentado uno u otro a ver cual agarra =/... super frustrante.EDIT: Investigando ya vi que es super necesario revisar en la documentación de la laptop que el puerto USB-C soporte modo DP Alterno. Sino nunca funcionarán estos adaptadores. Lástima que en la descripción no hacen énfasis en ello, solo mencionan que es compatible, no que es indispensable.

Use this for my work laptop with a USB-C port only. Connects to my monitor without issue and charges without issue. Exactly as described.

I thought Amazon was going to kick me off because I had tried three other adapters and returned them all. This allows me to use my laptop and project the screen to a larger screen and projector onto a smart board. It will all the same display (duplicate). Would have liked to display the large monitor and projector with the same and the laptop a different screen but it would not do that. I think you can extend the displays, but that would have to be reset with every power outage we have here.Do not bother with trying to get a laptop charging station - that was too good to be true. I use this with a Tripp lite port hub and organize the cords against the side of the desk and cabinet.
