Great for clotheslines over time, as the rope tends to sag. This little device tightens it right back up again.

Spend the extra 3$ and get the good one. This one I have to jimmy it to get the balls loose then once I pull on the rope I have to shake/jiggle it so they fall back in place but once they do the rope is very tight, just can't get it as tight if it would function 100%. Also to even get it started I had to break the balls loose inside with Allen key

The clothes line I bought sunk to the ground when clothes were hung on it. This clothesline tightener was just the perfect solution. Even as the line continues to stretch, you can just pull it to tighten it up again. Hint: Remember to tie a knot at the end where you pull the line through so it never loosens again.

I just got this only minutes ago and noticed that the flared metal was stressed too much and it's broken. It's only a matter of time before the piece will fail, leaving me without a way to adjust the tension. I included pictures. By the way, this is not all aluminumMaybe I got a defect, but I'm not impressed. I'll have to fix this before I can use it, it's not worth the hassle to return. I just paid to give myself another chore.
