Lots of pieces to assemble, but instructions are very clear (diagrams!). Lots of ways to adjust the position to your needs. Just be sure the clamps are secured before the vehicle is on motion, otherwise it swings all over the place when you start/stop/turn. One thing I noticed was the glove box door hits the vertical support, even in its lowest position. There are 2 arms attached together that come off of the vertical support; when I first tightened the clamps, the two plastic end-caps on one of the arms popped off; easily re-attached with some rubber cement. While I don't plan to operate the laptop while driving, this mount does put the laptop within easy reach, and much more convenient that having it on the passenger seat.

It's a nice product but it doesn't fit. I'm disappointed because there is no indication that this will not work in a 2-door application. The seller's page says 2007-2017 Jeep Wrangler JK but doesn't appear to reference an either/or for two or four door applications. Turns out the base bracket is clearly meant for the 4-door only based on bolt width and rise from outer to inner position. If there is something else that would make this work I would like to hear from the seller.That said, it's a nice piece of kit. Steel plate, with clean bends and good powder coating, nice hardware, good adjustability and the height adjustment is simple and clean. I can't speak to rattles or squeaks yet but when I borrow a 4-door I'll know. The cooling system is a must have and the JK is equipped like many newer rigs with both USB for fans and inverters for 120VAC power for the laptop.As an offroad vehicle editorial photographer it would bring a new dynamic having the ability to see images in real time from the camera via Bluetooth to a laptop I could see immediately. Now I have to stop, set up the laptop and usually stand at the back of the rig and have it on my tailgate table.
