I’m not a gadget person nor do I like so many tools in my kitchen and drawers, but this is so worth it. It easily punctures and cuts cleanly through tough avocado skin. Will pop out the seed, slice multi lines, cube or mash inside the half skin, and then cleanly scrapes out the inside. Makes it easy to whip up a quick guacamole in a pinch. I can add salt, season and put lemon or lime juice over the sliced up half of the avocado before mashing it in the shell with this and then scoop quickly from the skin into a bowl, done! I lost it after a move and realized how good it was making quac, spreading slices or cubes right from the skin — and a super plus, it washes off easier than any other tool. Super tool!!!
