Helpful little tool. Used to shape - Harcha - Moroccan flat bread, great worked well as can stay in the pan whilst cooking.

We love pancakes in my house, but we certainly could not make a pretty, round one. I was skeptical, but decided to try these. They are well made, simple to use and cleaning them is a breeze and the pancakes are gorgeous!

First of all, it's a nice product. I'm sure it makes pancakes well.I did not buy it to make pancakes. I wanted it to make eggs. My only complaint is that the circle is un-even. I washed and let it dry without interference and the circle does not return to a perfect circle. The shape is circle-ish; but not the cookie-cutter shape I expected. It does not sit level either. Because the shape does not want to return to a true circle, there are subtle high and low spots when placed in a pan.I'm sorry but these issues piss me off. I believe that this produce semi-fulfills it's intent. 'Lay fly and make a circle''; it struggles to do this neetly.

The handle is too short and the batter still sticks to the sides. Well, part of the pancake tears off when you pick up the ring and I don't think that I'm filling them up too much. Guess I'll just use it for eggs since pancake batter can be thickened up naturally. Price of ~ $7 seemed okay. Nothing spectacular.

This pancake ring does exactly as advertised. Place it on your griddle or pan, spray cooking oil on it along with the pan and pour in your batter. When you see bubbles begin to form, remove the ring and the pancakes are now perfectly formed. No sticking, easy clean up. It really is that easy.

ASIN: B007RTXKR2Most care about just having pancakes, the shape doesn't matter, but these make nice round ones, like you'd get in a restaurant. They taste the same! Some have complained of 'leakage' under the ring, this can be somwhat avoided by brushing the pan and inner side of the ring with butter using a silicone baster (ASIN: B000JPSI8C). Pour the batter into the form using a 1/4 cup measure for a perfect result (assuming the right temperature). Flip and serve and eat and enjoy those cute little round cakes.

Oiling the edges makes this slip off food easily, the sides are high enough to allow for batter to expand, the sides are slightly wider at the bottom than the top, adding stability, and the handle toggle is in the middle of the band, so nothing sticks above the rim on either side if you position the handle wire parallel with the ring, and the silicone is floppy enough to form a good seal with the pan below it. (these are features I din't know that other egg ring companies got wrong until I got a pretty set of blue silicone kitchenware that included two egg rings rendered unusable by the handle toggle being off center enough to stick over the rim to one side making it unable to lie flat or prevent run-off, they were also too stiff to form a proper seal even on the side that "should" have worked). Note that it is difficult to position so it makes an exact circle because it is so floppy, but the floppiness is what makes it actually function well.

Better than I expected. Does well on my cast iron pan as long as the heat is within it's range, which on my stove is mid-low. I suppose it would be very easy to melt this thing at higher temperatures, but those would also burn my pancakes to a crisp. Batter does stick to it a little when you lift it off the pancake, particularly if you are making thick pancakes that max it out. However, not much sticks and it is very easy to wipe off. If you put a thing on a 400° surface and let it sit there for a few minutes, it will be very hot. So don't try to wipe it off with your bare hand and use common sense in where you set it down. It does not retain heat for very long.

If you want giant MANCAKES, this is THE ring for you! It works well and IF you happen to have sticking on the sides, just put a VERY thin coating of olive oil around the inside and the cakes WILL NOT stick even if there is no oil in your batter! It should last a LONG time.Nostalgia: EVERY time (I) eat pancakes I always think of the cartoon "Baked Alaska" with Chilly Willy - look it up on YOUtube. Makes me smile!"More butter? A huh, More syrup? A-huh, you like? I like, More butter....." a CLASSIC. Now it will be in YOUR head too... LOL

I had high hopes for this...I bought it to keep my scrambled eggs (normally 2) from running all over the pan..HA! Of course, this is sold as a 'pancake ring,' so I am possibly being unfair, but the description led me to think it would work with egg too..I have not tried it with pancake batter...but the again, the description mentions eggs, and that was the reason I bought, and I completely stand by the title of this review..for eggs...it is WORSE than worthless...(worse in this case meaning it doesn't work for its purpose, plus now you have something else to wash..though washing is not a real big deal..)
