Just to share my experience with the product and vendors policy.These brackets made of cast iron, wrong material for a tool as it is brittle and builds stress inside parts if not cooled properly. So one of these brackets broke on first use for reason mentioned above. The reply from vendor is that I was about 10 days late to return the product for refund. And there is no warranty for parts or labor. So I stuck with broken product because it was shipped defective.

This is a well made set, with robust clamps- An accurate nice set. I had to return another manufacturers set because the clamps were unusable as delivered from the original order- DO NOT ACCEPT THEM This set is of high quality, accurately cut-I highly recommend this set at this price point, particularly for the home machinist who needs every advantage but cannot afford Starrett equipment. The set did not indicate country of origin.

The item was not packaged very well at all. It had come out of the manufacturer's box and was tumbling around in the plastic envelope that it was shipped in. Luckily it survived the poor packaging and the quality of the item was not compromised..
